British Victorian Era 24th of Foot Regiment Metal Helmet Plate

Bought this item and sewed it onto a Pith Helmet I ordered to complete a costume for Halloween and it made the outfit. Was excited that a doctor I work with you was raised in south Africa recognized the 24th foot and new exactly what my costume was. Outstanding Job. Love the plate and will absolutely do business with these people again.

Not as advertised. It is not as shiny and was all bent... Cheap ... Cheap metal and no pin...it came with a piece of wire that looks, literally, as a straightened paper clip! Decided to keep it because I bent it back to some shape without braking it. I do not want to bother.

Looks great but shipping ridiculously expensive! Michaels cheaper just as good. Total cost not worth it.

The frontal appearance is excellent- nice highlights of polished brass/gold, and it is large enough so that if used on the Brit Zulu war style pith helmet it shows well.The bad design element is the clasp. Surely this plate is intended for the Zulu War type Pith Helmet but the 2 posts are too short so that it is impossible to use the cotter pin closure provided- you can not reach the end of the mounting posts..If the current posts accepted a screw in securing device from the rear that could work or simply make the two attachment posts longer would be simpler and probably better.

Misleading image. The badge I received is not shiny or gold; more like a dull brown. It was study, though, and not easily bent. I'm going to try some Brasso on it to see if it cleans up. OK for the money, I guess.

As with the British helmet this is a stellar product and more than worth the excellent price. If I had one complaint,it would be that there are no instructions on how to mount the badge onto the helmet. But this is a VERY minor complaint. IMA and Amazon combined is a GREAT pair! Thank you!

We are so happy with this helmet plate. I bought my husband the riffle and bayonette as a gift. When we do the framing, this will make the whole thing look so much better and like a cohesive set.

Great item! I am glad I bought it. However, I cant quite figure out how to attach it to the British Victorian Colonial White Pith Helmet P-1871
