Cat Repellent, Ultrasonic Fox Repellent Battery Operated Animal Cat Deterrents Scarer for Gardens

Bought it to deter a cat from using my drive as a toilet, which it did well. Needed recharging every 7 to 10 days (bought in the winter, so not a lot of sunlight around).Then the setting switch seemed to not be working correctly, getting the audible sounds on every setting. Now it has almost completely died, occasionally flashes or squawks when something moves past it.However it lasted long enough to deter the cat from using my drive, so I am not too upset with its failure.

This was purchased because of foxes coming into the garden and causing issue with our cats.Delivery was prompt and well packaged.Set up is quick and easy and I’ve place it in the area where the foxes are entering the garden so I’m hoping this will deter the foxes without upsetting the cats too much.The reason for purchase was that’s this unit is solar powered but also usb charging so I potentially can charge and put this tucked away in a hedge exactly where the fox is coming in or just leave in the general area in the open getting solar charge.Whilst there are different setting I’ve selected the one most suited to foxes.It’s now a waiting game to see if the number of sightings of foxes is reduced.

This item worked for about a week and a half when I noticed that despite us having several unusually sunny days, the solar energy part could not have been working as I had to charge it, so after charging it wasnt long before before cat started to return and even looked as though it was having a kip before i shooed it away.Having young children next door helped me lots in knowing if the item was working or not and this is nowhere near as loud as the other make out the back which I couldnt buy on Amazon as it wasn't it stock so took a chance with this.It may be good enough to scare other animals, I don't know! but for cats, it is pretty useless and should not really be marked up as such.

So far the device has had the desired effect, we have even seen cats coming into the garden, triggering the device and running out again.Only had one dropping in nearly a month, compared to 2-3 a week before.

So this product randomly starts playing childrens toy alarm sounds and eagle sounds even though its not that setting. Horrific.Middle of the night, day whenever. Cannot change volume.For me this happens anywhere around settings one and two. But be aware as this seems to be a common issue and it will wake you and your neighbours up.

Does what it says on the tin. Did not really want the flashing lights but it is a lot better quality than the ones without the lights.

Animal messing outside has stopped for now. After weeks of rain it actives even when no motion so not sure how long it will last.

I can only put this on number 1 setting which doesn't scare the cats at all, anything higher than that and a very loud alarm sound. It is so loud my neighbour thought it was a car alarm she could hear. Not much use for me and I have a decent size garden.
