THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE WINDOWS 10 VERSION NOT CHROME OS. ALSO ANYONE HAVING THE KEYBOARD DIE ON THEM PLEASE TRY DISCONNECTING THE LAPTOP, TURNING OFF COMPLETELY, AND HOLD THE TINY BATTERY RESET BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM FOR 15 TO 30 SECONDS AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE.Okay so I did a bit of digging around and a bit of research and i decided to get this laptop in the end. The purpose of my purchase was small size, portability, value, and versatility. A cheap, but very usable, compact laptop i could take with me anywhere.You get 4 GB of ram and 64 GB of SSD for only 140ish which is pretty good compared to other laptops with similar specs, ESPECIALLY considering that a lot of other options offer Windows 10 only in S mode OR GOD FORBID CHROME OS.Now right out of the box I can see in the system the storage is closer to 35 GB of free storage with Windows 10 installed which is a bit like the air in chip bags. A necessary evil. The memory can be upgraded with an SD card, I have a 128 GB Sandisk and it works quite well for installing apps and games.The speed is kind of slow but i wasn't expecting a powerhouse gaming PC from this little thing.The durability is great. My stupid cat literally knocked down 3 feet off the table onto a hard wood floor and it's completely fine somehow. A fairly strong and hefty textured plastic (the very nice kind). The weight is great, so light and small!I tested Steam games such as Stronghold Crusader, Half Life Source, and Deus Ex 1 and they ran with no lag. Newer games most likely will suffer performance issues. Some games are more optimized than others so keep that in mind.All in all if you need a small laptop for working, typing, homework, its pretty good! But its not going to run no PUBG or GTA V.Hey Acer, please make more laptops like this!

It works like brand new. I love it. I bought it for my 70+ parent and he likes it too. He uses it for light games and lotto software. it serves his purpose and it doesn't break the bank. We also like the small foot print factor. It's a bit on the heavy side if comparing to current modern laptop such as MacBook which I own. But other than that, the price factor is unbeatable.

This is for the 11.6 inch HD laptop. First, let's talk about the "looks and works like new". No way. The machine is scratched and worn all around the screen and above the function keys. It looks far worse than any of my laptops after several years of hard use. Even my kids' laptops are in better shape. Its very distracting since it's quite noticeable when you angle the screen to view the monitor.I didn't see it before my IT department started to install our company software (or I would have told them not to bother). They commented that it was a 2017 build and would have to spend some time updating it.This was a hugely disappointing purchase. This looks like an old computer ready for the recycle heap.I have an earlier version of this machine, and this one is heavier. I like the computer, but do not buy this refurbished version.Sorry Amazon, this is a one star from me. DO NOT BUY!!!!

This is a great computer. But do yourself a favor and don't try using it as is: they did not properly install Windows 10, or installed the wrong version. It was very slow and the screen brightness was stuck at maximum with no way to change it. I bought Windows 10 Home Professional 64-bit online for like $80, had the included imaging software load an image onto my USB thumbdrive (I did this using a different computer), booted up the Acer pressing F12 repeatedly until the BIOS settings came up, changed the boot order to boot from USB before the harddrive, rebooted and it loaded the Windows 10 setup off the thumbdrive, and near the beginning of that setup I was able to choose an option to delete the current harddrive partition and have the new Windows 10 setup create a new partition in its place. Then Windows 10 installed perfectly and recognized everything on the computer automatically, and runs quite fast.

Unit arrived overnight, very good service. Had it up and running within 24 hours of purchasing it. Setup was easy with Cortana. Unit was immaculate, clean and light weight. All good so far. I bought this unit so I could extract encrypted files. Our company only allows encrypted files on thumb drives. I started trying to extract the files and the program would crash and would run very slow. It took me about 12 hours to get my files. Much to slow. Upon examining the unit, it said the unit had Windows 10 Pro “education” not Windows 10 Pro as advertised. Not sure this was the issue or the processing power of the unit. In addition, the sticker on the bottom said manufactured in 2014. Renewed unit? I think “retired” is more appropriate . I think at $149 this is a bargain; but, if it can’t handle the work then it is not worth 49 cents.

This laptop adequately meets the needs for the level of work I need it for. It is fast and lightweight and has sufficient storage. Great value for the price. The one-star rating for Touch Screen is only because it does not have a touch screen feature which I was aware of before purchase.

It came with broken power jack, serial com port, USB port and obviously uncared for..Great concept, horrible experience. I will never by Amzon second hand junk again. Save yourself money and disappointment and buy something new.. let Amazon executives use this junk.

I used this Acer to complete courses on line for my job. It was perfect. I absolutely love it. The only thing is the battery life was disappointing - I had to recharge quite often.
