Very simple to install and simple to use product. It’s a fit for purpose mechanical device that works as advertised at a relative low cost and looks well engineered. No longevity history yet.

This product has been an abject failure.It took a week to get the switch working with Alexa, and after that, it would spontaneously and randomly switch back. Sometimes within minutes of being used. I expect a switch to stay switched until I switch it again, but this one had different ideas.Then after two weeks it simply stopped working. The SwitchMate phone app (which is so-so) worked sometimes, other times it would say "trouble connecting to device". I disabled the Alexa skill and re-enabled, re-syncing with the SwitchMate account, no improvement.So... It sometimes works with its own app, which even when it works, is pretty much useless to me as the whole point was to sync it with my other Alexa-controlled devices. The only thing I can reliably do with it is to push the button -- which is beyond silly, seeing as it's just manipulating a switch I could just as easily flip.So I gave up on the switch, but the plugs, which I didn't need, seemed useful. That was until about two weeks after I started really using them, at which point they simply stopped responding via Alexa too.The whole product has been a complete fail.

This is trash. Don't waste your money. This is a good idea that is executed badly. You'll be fed up by the time you configure your smart plug. Then the same struggle for the switch. Then the plug does not connect to alexa. And the "smart" switch does not turn on or off the wall switch. And finally the smart plug does not detect the switch even if it's right next to it. The timer function on the plug is the only usable feature. And their website does not even list any contact for customer service. The only option you have is to use a hammer on the devices and throw them in the trash.

Love the idea and loved how easy it was to install but it just would not stay connected. If they can fix that issue then this could be a great solution for people who want an easy way to automate their home without any wiring. In the end, I returned it and went with something else.

Issues with the power unit connecting to the network. It doesn't see a MAC address for the network but the bluetooth works fine.

I would give it -1 stars if I could.Alexa set up was painful, the switch would stop responding all of a sudden from the SwitchMate app, Alexa, and even manually!! Also, it would turn on/off for no reason. It’s taken me two weeks to troubleshoot with the manufacturer to no avail.Whatever you do, don’t buy this!!!

Purchased several of these and the timer function does not work on either the switch or the outlet.

I ordered two; one of the wall plugs works, but the other does not. Light doesn’t power on. Amazon required that I contact the seller before approving a refund. No response from the seller. Now outside the return window.
