It's Nice to be a Narwhal!

Sequins come off easily
We’ve only had this for one day and I’m already finding loose sequins around my home. Who knows how many my 9 month old has already swallowed. We love the other “never touch a” books. But this one isn’t safe for babies. The book is beautiful and the pictures are cute but it’s not like the others in the series that are good tactile books for infants. Edit: I updated my review to 4 stars because after inspecting the book closely it does say on the back for ages 3 and up. So it’s probably safe for the intended age range. Still, the sequins are a mess so -1 star for that.

Cute but inaccurate and hard to play with.
This is a cute book but the way the sequins are put on the pages makes it really hard to flip them, especially for a small child. Also the book repeatedly calls it a “horn” but the protrusion on a narwhal is actually a tooth. So it’s ....not correct. Oof.

Great item for short term use
I bought this as a distraction for a special needs child on an airplane ride, and it was a success! She loved it and spent many hours with it. Only downside; as much use as it gets- the sequence start to come off and then it’s not as fun as the finger gets stuck in the blank spot. Otherwise, was perfect for the purpose I needed it for!

My son is obsessed
Need a great book for a bored toddler? This is it. My son is 1 years old and loves this colorful book.Adult wise it’s boring, and the rhymes are stretched a bit. My son “asks” me to read it to him several times a day, and it’s not super fun to reread that often, but it’s worth it to keep your little one happy when quarantined.

Cute, short book with intriguing flippable sequins
This book is cute, my 10 month old baby likes the colorful sequins. They’re a little hard for her to initially move them herself, but once you get them started, a young child can flip them back. Other reviews mentioned sequins falling off, I haven’t noticed that yet but my baby is usually supervised with this book so I don’t let her get too rough with them.

Cute book - be careful about the sequins though
Cute book. I was a little worried at first because it seemed to have only a few pages. Turns out they were just really stuck together, and I was able to get them apart without damaging the pages. There are a couple sequins damaged or missing, and they don’t always want to lay back flat when you rub them. Definitely not something to let a baby have unsupervised due to potential choking hazard (it does say for ages 3+).
