Clerical Vestments: Ceremonial Dress of the Church (Shire Library)

I think I was expecting a more comprehensive treatment in this book. But what I found was clearly an overview of vestments, their make and makers. Still for what it is it is an excellent overview.

I needed an approachable introduction to clerical vestments and this book did the trick. I very Highly recommend this book.

Good solid basic explanation of all kinds of vestments. Makes a good first book to start learning about a beautiful art.

The book may be "tiny", but it is huge in its information value. Ms. Bailey has given enough information, concise and to the point that when doing research you know more exactly where to look. The photographs are so very clear they enable you see detail without strain. Marvelous little introductory to clerical vestments. I am very happy I purchased it.

A wonderful, informative book. Written in an interesting way with lovely photographs and comic inserts. Will be buying more copies.

Very comprehensive booklet about the history of vestments leading to the present day. Well represented with photographs. Easy to follow.
