It's a Slave Cuadro of death (Your's).
It is pricey but it's portable and expandable.Nothing else comes close and you don't have to stare at your computer screen like a big nerd.I had some trouble interfacing w/ the online program until my "La Fragua"(singer /dancer) tried the high speed usb port. That solved the problem. This was after corresponding w/ Spain and fast responses that weren't the answer. They said to send it back for repair or replacement.I'm not in love w/ the instrumentation used ;as i hate most "Modern flamenco" and the use of stupid sounds from other music ,but what the hay, you just go online and get rid of the tripe sounds and use palmas and tacon with the upload /download feature. There are some hilarious programmed examples (Peteneras has a little drummer boy snare)Columbianas is "Crazy beets"Maybe I'll even try the "singing dresser drawer"(aka cajon)as you can avoid the "drummer in 3/4" live performer one usually meets.I'm hooking up the unit to a small amp for sound reinforcement.I uploaded a Moron type palma sequence so my hands are ready to bleed as I attempt to outlast the "Cuadro of death":-)

iPhone or Android apps are the future
I agree with the above reviewer: this device is far too expensive and inflexible, especially considering the price. A friend of mine has this metronome and it is ok, but I also decided to get the iTunes Beat Vibe application for my iPod instead. It offers way more functionality, can be updated, has a user database and costs a small fraction of this metronome. My advice to Oscar Herrero is to create a competing Flamenco Metronome app for the iPhone/iPad. That is the future. No one wants a dedicated device any more. Please note, that I am not in any way associated with [...] - just a happy customer.

very useful ...
It's obvious that a lot of work went into this. There are software programs that go into just about as much detail about flamenco rhythms as this, but then you're often stuck sitting in front of a computer ... maybe not the best place to get into a flamenco state of mind. It's fairly pricey - maybe an economy version with fewer features would be an option the maker might consider. But this does free you up to go practice in the park!

Like having a Flamenco Dancer & Troupe is your living room
This Metronome gives you the feeling that a Flamenco Dancer, Cajon, Clave, Clapping and other Traditional instruments are in the room, It has a loud speaker which is not tinny and can easily be heard over the guitar. You can chose a basic rhythm pattern to start and advance a very complex one. The complaints are that it is pricey, but it simulates all of the authentic Flamenco styles with many options.

Nice, but too expensive
Nice metronome, good rhythms but way too expensive. There is a ten buck flamenco metronome for the iphone called mobile compas which gives way more programmability and beats on price even if you include the price of the iphone.
