but once arrived, it was everything I expected! (65KM) Updated (316km)
The Bike is heavy duty, Large Frame, 26 inch/4 inch wide wheels with Fat tires, (Feels like rolling on 29 ers) has 7 manual gears, three modes( off/pedal assist/ thumb all electric accelerator) and 5 pedal assist power levels (Max Speeds before motor cut off). I have taken it on several trips now, only had to recharge once after initial top off when it first arrived. Have logged 55 KM thus far, I have run mud, asphalt, trail and have had tons of fun so far! Plenty of power, it pushes my 210 lbs and its own weight of about 65 lbs up hills as much as 60 % without pedal for short periods, with pedal assist it can climb long extended grades at good speed and keep going all day. The 5 pedal assist levels combined with manual thumb accelerator allows the rider to over ride the magnetic cadence counter/motor activator to set cruise control and also conserve power for when needed and blast the downhills using little power at all taking advantage of gravity and momentum. When brakes are activated, they shut motor off for safety and begin to recharge battery. (regenerative battery during braking) thus giving you more bars of battery to extend your range. I recently retired, 65 years young, looking for a new hobby to keep physically fit. I live in Western North Carolina near the Smoky Mountains National Park, NC, USA. Lots of opportunities to travel green ways, rails to trails, gravel, sand, snow, and single tracks. So far I am very happy, will update after a few hundred kilos. (Updated: 316 KM) Some maintenance is required to minimize fair wear and tear! Recently my right peddle crank arm (Aluminum) had a bolt loosen to the crank shaft (Hardened Steel). The loose connection cause enough Wear to cause me to replace the worn crank arm and new bolt from a reputable mountain bike dealer. The fix was under $20.00 U.S. ( Not worth attempting to pursuit warranty reimbursement) I left the bike with the dealer to tune it up, and adjust brakes, because preventative maintenance saves money on future potential breaks from ware and tear.
