KICK STAND REST For Motorcycles Anti Sinking

When you go out for a ride you don't always think about all the conditions of every parking lot that you will be going into but sometimes you end up in a parking lot that is gravel or soft pavement of even just grass. This leaves you with the problem of your kickstand might sink into the ground. This is a simple thing that just gives you a larger footprint for your kick stand to rest on. I would really like to see stock kick stands having a larger foot print but that seems to not be happening anytime soon.This stores up under the rear seat of my bike pretty easily so when I get into a parking lot that isn't the greatest I can easily just grab it out of the bike and good to go.Some people I know just keep a squished soda can to do the same thing but those just don't always work. I don't want to trust something that costs over 10 grand to something that I normally just recycle. Though I have thought about welding up a smaller piece of metal that I can fit a little better in bike's rear compartment but I haven't gotten around to that just yet.

I live in a new community that had a concrete base - now that they are wrapping up the building, they've recently paved with asphalt. It really hasn't begun to get hot, but I knew that it would come and I had better look for a product like this, or I'll find my bike on its side one morning. I ordered this, and immediately went outside after it arrived to place it under the stand - which had already sunk into the asphalt!I can throw this is my saddle bag and not have to concern myself anymore with this type of issue.

I was searching for a kick stand rest for my Kawasaki KLR650 with a stock kick stand. The receiver on this item is too small. I am going to have to use a dremel to see if I can modify it. Otherwise I may have to drill three holes and use small bolts to make a stop. The shipping was timely and the material is high quality.

Every parked your bike only to return a few hours later to see it on the ground? If not, give it time. If you ride frequently enough it will most likely happen eventually. Unless of course you are proactive and get you a reliable "hockey puck" like this one here. The foot one your side stand isn't beg enough to support the weight of your 500+ pound cruiser when parked on a soft surface. I've seen some asphalt that was just soft enough to allow the stand to sink. It a cheap fix and honestly, this looks much better than a "crushed cola can".

This kick stand rest is small enough to stick in your saddle bag, or even your back pocket, but big enough to keep your bike from sinking into the black top. Only thing is you tend to forget it in the parking lot. It looks bigger in the picture than it actually is, but I guess you wouldn't want it too big... it would be hard to stow away.

I thought it was made of rubber, not that it was hard plastic (slips) and did not knew that you have to attached it to the floor with a drill. The products works but if you are not careful you can break it. I give 4 stars because i think the description of the product was short, advising these things or telling the king of surface to use it.

All motorcyclists need something like this for any surface besides asphalt or cement. This kick stand does not work for my motorcycle but it is not the fault of the product. Victory uses a very unusual kick stand for their motorcycles to help spread the weight out. So I am not going to fault the product since it wasn't designed for that manufacturer.
