WEN 6301 Electric Detailing Palm Sander

My previous sander just stopped working one day so I had to get a new one, which is why I bought this WEN sander. It's got a more than enough power for most jobs. The hook-and-loop base pad makes it easy to swap out the sandpaper when you need to, which is great because I hate fumbling with that stuff (once took me almost an hour to change a piece of paper on my old sander). This model also has a dual grip design so you can hold it by the handle or by the palm grip, whatever works best for you.The dust collection box and fan-assisted dust holes help keep things tidy while I work (dust everywhere is just annoying). It's always nice when a tool comes with some useful accessories too. This sander has all the basics covered - an 80-grit sanding disc to get started right away. All in all, it's a solid machine and seems to be built well enough to last for a while (unlike my old one). I would definitely recommend this sander to anyone looking for something reliable and powerfulLove WEN tools!

Starting to really love some of the Wen woodworking products, this sander is super light weight, strong and gets the job done, also have the Wen drill press, SUPER happy

I got this sander for auto body work and its great for small detailed areas and smoothing out body filler. Pretty strong but manageable and comfortable to hold onto for long periods. Decent product at a good price.

Very good sander and Diablo sheets fit perfectly. I have a Wen 10" Tormek knockoff, 18g nail gun, 4" grinder and their 16" chain saw, everything meets expectations.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!The size, weight, & shape are easy to guide with even just 1 hand.The iron-like shape is much more effective than I expected & really does maneuver into corners/niches well.I was worried that it wouldn't be as powerful since it is only 1 amp but I don't see any reason to need more amps.I do a lot of DIY projects, but have always hated sanding, so I finally ordered this for my newest project: refinishing an old yard playset. I have chronic circulation issues in my arms & a lot of pain associated with it that is aggravated by repetitive motions -- like sanding or even using handheld tools. I am happily surprised that I used this non-stop for over 5 hours today (when my arm pain had already been flaring for days) & not only did it not further aggravate it, but it somehow alleviated the pain while I sanded!It did come with 1 piece of 80 grit but I ordered a pack 100 grit for my project & have used 2 pieces -- it really makes more efficient use of the paper, even at softer grit.I would absolutely & emphatically recommend this to anyone looking for an easy-to-handle, efficiency-enhancing, ergonomic tool for a great price!

Excellent for small projects. I have a round sander and this one works great in corners and smaller narrow detailsEasy to operate and replace the paper.
