Our Island Story (Black and White Edition)

I wish I’d read this years ago, but it was out of print then. So glad to have discovered it. It ties together many British tales and legends in a coherent way that helps with overall British history comprehension. Gifting it to all the history lovers in my life.

My 6 year old enjoyed reading it 1 chapter at a time. It is written in such a way that you are reading a story. If you are more of a facts person, you might need to consult another history book. This is good in introducing history as a story to younger kids then supplement it with facts from another history book.

Misleading advert. The picture is of the 1952 edition which goes up to 1952. What I received was a 2005 reprint, which ends in 1902. Disappointed.
