I'm not going to repeat product description here. IMO it's all true - great quality built, quality light etc. There is one caveat I want you to know which is not anywhere in the description or their website. Lume Cube can only be charged with USB-A to USB-C cable like the one supplied with it. It can not be charged with USB-C to USB-C cable. No matter what your source of power is. Though you can charge it from devices with USB-C outputs using A to C cable and male C to female A adaptor. It is not a dealbreaker for me, but I wish I knew it beforehand.

Good quality, good light and very convenient

I tried really hard to love this, I really did, but it spent less than 24 hours in my house before going back. First up, I don't know how they made it look so tiny in all the promos, perhaps they are very large men's hands, but this thing is waaaay bigger than I expected, and it's heavy too. I was buying it to replace a large, heavy flash unit and it's almost as big and actually heavier. The packaging was very difficult too, as there is a perforation you have to tear to open the box, which made it feel really final, a crossing of a rubicon. I know I have protected consumer rights to be able to try the product to the same extent I could try it in the shop, but I still feel wary about this broken box, and I feel like it will put some people off returning even if they don't like it. Next up - only in complete darkness did this really make any difference to my photos. In room lighting, it was either indifferent, worse than the on-camera flash or actively worse than room lighting. I couldn't get the ISO to shift down from 6400 unless I stuffed it so uncomfortably close to people that they were not prepared to look at me becuase it's so bright! Couldn't really use it for a flash because the whole problem I have is my daughter is scared of flash so we need a constant light source, but it's too bright for anyone to come near. We tried holding it at all sorts of angles, on the end of monopods, either we got a hard light with heavy shadows or it didn't add much to the ambient light at all.I am starting to realise why all the photos and reviews I have seen for the product use lots of them as creative coloured backlighting, it does seem good for that purpose, but it's not useful as as sole light, it's not a lighter replacement for a flash unit and it's not really that useful as a video light unless your subjects don't have retinas. Quite how it managed to be blindingly bright yet at the same time still give me 6400 1/10 photos at f3.5 I cannot explain to you, but it was both too bright and not bright at all. Not for me.

A powerful little unit that packs power. Make sure yo buy the snoot add on as you can create some dramatic light. I know they are cheaper knock offs out there but not sure if they perform as well so I'm not disappointed as this one is built solid and comes with an app so I can control the light from my phone.

This was. bought for me as a Christmas present. There is no way the modification frame will fit on the cube itself and as this is needed as an essential part of my photography it renders the item almost useless. Naturally because it is outside of the time to return the item (set aside COVD) Amazon won't do anything. Be aware.

Very happy with it. Little thing but powerful I wish it had external battery then internal so I could use it for my event coverage

Perfect for the job nicely packaged

Good light for creative photography, but maybe too dark for narrower aperture (like f/8) photography in the dark (only good if you want to light paint). And as some other reviews stated, light is too bright to take photos with people (only if using it as backlight or using it with optical trigger).Phone app shows very inconsistent battery life left for the cubes. Seems that cubes are also draining battery while not being used - at least for me I had to charge them again after a month or less of almost no using. And do not forget to disconnect bluetooth(I guess that was the reason why one of the cubes were dead after less than a week of no use - before it was fully charged).I found that optical trigger is not always working - I do not know the reason.There is no way to know if battery is finished charged - at least my cubes shows that they are still charging even after 2,5 hours.I have not tested it in the water, but the rubber cap on the charging port do not look completely waterproof, I guess it is still possible for some water to get in.Good light if you learn how and when to use it, but given the problems/design flaws described above I think it is a bit overpriced.

No venían las dos luces con sus marcos de modificación. Totalmente una estafa. Tuve que devolver el producto, solo espero que me hagan mi devolución.

Prodotto interessante ma non all'altezza del prezzo pagato:1) La batteria si scarica, fino al punto che non accetta nemmeno più la ricarica, per fortuna ho un laboratorio elettronico e seguendo un tutorial su internet sono riuscito a ripristinarle2) Luce meno intensa di quanto non sia pubblicizzato, assolutamente inadeguato rispetto a quanto dichiarato.3) Usabilità frustrante, l'app su cellulare non è abbastanza affidabile, disconnessioni continue, misura della carica altalenante, insomma prodotto non affidabile4) attacco filettato non corrispondente allo standard di settore per cui la vite picchia in fine corsa prima di aver fissato l'oggetto che rimane libero di ruotareIn sintesi ottima idea pessima realizzazione, accessori di discreta qualità ma non sufficienti a giustificare il prezzo richiestoAltamente sconsigliato

Gekauft hab ich mit das Produkt um es für kurze Unterwasseraufnahmen mit einer Aktioncam oder meiner Sony rx100 mit unterwasser Gehäuse zu nutzen. Beispiel: Für das Kentertraining im Schwimmbad welches von meinem Kajakverein organisiert wird. Genutzt habe ich das Produkt nur sehr selten und das erste halbe Jahr ausschließlich um mein Gesicht bei Onlinekonferenzen auf zu hellen.Schon nach wenigen Monaten, viel aber auf das der Akku sich ständig entläd und das Produkt immer erst neu geladen werden musste...Dann ist mir aufgefallen das der Lumencube 2.0 nachts von alleine einfach an ging und nicht mehr ausgeschaltet werden konnte oder sich nach dem Ausschalten nach wenigen sec. selbst wieder anschaltet. Ich Habe dann verschiedene Apps von lumencube installiert, in der Hoffnung das Problem so beheben zu können. Doch auch nach Ausschaltung der Blitzfunktion etc. Gab es keine Veränderung....Hatte die Lampe nun noch mal extra geladen um sie das erste mal Unterwasser zu nutzen. Alles lief reibungslos, nur nach dem Auspacken der Schwimmsachen war die Lampe wieder an und ließ sich wieder nicht ausschalten. Danach wollte ich die Lampe noch mal nutzen und anschließend ließ sich das Gerät auch nach einem neuen Ladevorgang nicht mehr anschalten....Die Ladebuchse war nach dem ersten gebrauch auch nicht ganz trocken. Ich kann mir vorstellen das Salzwasser die Ladebuchse nach wenigen male der Nutzung zerstört hätte.

For small scale or up close photography, these little guys can’t be beat. The light simple design, the ability to easily switch between gels, shutters, diffusers, etc is just a dream come true. I honestly regret not buying them sooner.
