It's perfect.
I think that, once a year, Amazon should let us give a 6 star review, for the best product we have bought all year. This would be my 6 star.Yes, the humble bicycle pump. I could not ask for a better pump, especially at this price. I had another bicycle pump that made me think one or more of the following: 1. I do not know how to use a tire pump. 2. There is something wrong with my tire pump. And/or 3. There is something wrong with my tires. It turns out, it wasn't 1 or 3, because with this new pump, even I can quickly and easily get my tires to the desired pressure.I am a bike computer, not a bike enthusiast. My bike is my work horse, and I don't want to have to know how to do more than absolutely necessary. With my old pump, I felt like I could not get a good connection, and the tire would end up flatter than I started. With this, I simply pop it on, flip up the switch, and pump until I hit my desired PSI. I flip the switch back, and take it off. That is it. No air leakage whatsoever.Pros:Easy to readEasy to pumpEasy to put on and take offHandy clip to keep the hose off if the groundIt works with both types of tiresIt's quickCons:It's not a particularly attractive shade of green? Yeah, I've got nothing.Summary: It quickly and easily fills my bicycle tires with the desired amount of air. Which is exactly hat I need it to do.

There is No Customer Service
I would not purchase this pump again. It did work quite well at first, but became increasingly difficult to use with presta valves. The pump head would not seal and the needle would bounce around instead of giving a steady reading. Calls and emails to Web Brands for a replacement pump or pump head were not returned. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews and you will see this pattern.

This Blows The Competition Away
I bought a another pump before this (joe something blow) and it was terrible. It couldn't do a presta valve for anything. I would waste time over and over again, trying to get it to engage the presta valve. I finally had enough and decided to buy this one. This pump gets it right all the time and is by far the best I have ever had. Their system just works and is superior to others. It doesn't let air out of the tire when engaging or disengaging and everything just works as it should. In my opinion this is the standard that other pumps should shoot for. This will handle both types of valves so you're covered and no switching of one type to the other is necessary. Simple to use and reliable in the end.

Well Worth the Money
Wow. This is a great pump. Well made valve head, metal barrel, solid construction, comfortable handles and feet. I have both mtn and road bikes, so I fill both Schrader and Presta valve tires. The tires were pretty low, so it was more difficult to press the head onto the Schrader valves, as they pushed into the rim, but I got around this by using my hand pump to put in a little air first. That was just enough to provide some resistance so that the X-1000's head could be pressed onto them fully. Once that was done, the seal was perfect and the pump easily brought the tires up to 55#, whereupon I used the bleed valve to drop them down to the desired 40psi and all was good. The pump had no problem at all fitting all the way onto the Presta valves on my road bike, as they are slimmer and also have the threaded ring locking them to the rim. It slipped right on and locked in place and the pump brought the tires up to 100 psi, no problem at all. The gage is accurate and easy to read, and I really like the settable red pointer which allow one to place it at the desire pressure, so seeing the pressure rise to the set point is a snap.Very happy with this purchase.

Not impressed
The good: pumps well - I assume, I never had any other pumps. The "whatever": it was always very uncomfortable/unpleasant to attach the pump head to the valve - I mostly used it for my presta valve tires. Just uncomfortable to hold while attaching the head. The bad: the head now does not stay on the valve - it pops off and if I want to inflate the tire, I have to hold the head on the valve and pump with one hand. I've developed a massive pec on the right side while trying to pump my tires to 100 psi.The pump head is detachable - maybe it is meant to be replaced every 2 years? I paid $46 for this pump on Amazon and expected better.

Pump makes iffy connection and guage does not work.
I bought this to inflate the tires on my road bike. These are high pressure 100-120psi tires that use a presta valve. Despite the product description this pump does not mate with a presta valve very well. Additionally, the pressure gauge does not work so it is impossible to pump tires up to the correct PSI with this pump. It is pretty much useless.

Very good but not great pump
I have been cycling for a long time and have used a variety of flour pumps. Cycle Pro, Zefal, Park, Joe Blow Pro, Planet Bike and Lezyne. The most recent, the Lezyne was a well made pump. The issue I had with it was that the Chuck often slipped off the presta valves on my road bikes. I bought three chucks and they all had the same issue. Holding the Chuck on with one hand while pumping with the other was not ideal.Based on the online reviews, I bought this pump. It arrived today. The build quality was very good. It inflated both Mountain and road tires without major issues. The only thing that surprised me was the amount of effort needed to get the tire to 110 psi. Not that much of an issue but more than any pump I have used in the last ten years. Though my wife and I often ride together, I think this may be an issue when she wants to ride on her own.

Hassle free inflation. Finally.
Works very well for both valve types which is a change from every other pump I’ve tried. My old pump went to charity where I feel slightly guilty that someone will have to put up with the awful thing. Anyway. Push this fully onto the presta and it will indicate the tire pressure accurately. I still use a pressure tool, but this is within 5 psi, which should be sufficient. It may be closer than that but the needle jumps on pumping and I’m not totally convinced it’s very precise (same measure will consistently produce same reading). The ease of connection is the real winner here.

Best Pump Ever! Works on BOTH valve types without replacing the head
I have two bikes, a daily rider and a track bike. Although summer is short where I live (Winterpeg) I do a LOT of riding when the weather allows it. Due to the horrendously pot-holed roads in Manitoba my tires tend to deflate a little quicker than they would otherwise. One of my bikes in particular needs to be topped up at least every 2 weeks or it is noticeably sluggish.Enter this bike pump: It's easy to use, sturdy, and can fill up my bikes tires to 80PSI in an astonishing 5-6 pumps. One thing I noticed immediately is that the pressure meter (goes up to 160PSI) is extremely accurate, and doesn't bounce around like it would on a cheap pump. Both of my bikes have a presta valve, but I have used this pump with my friend's bike that head schrader valves and it filled them with ease. There is no need to bring out an adapter or replacement head that can be lost, it just works. When using the pump, attach the head (with lever in the down position) onto a presta/schrader valve and lift the lever upwards. Over dozens of uses I have yet to encounter a time when the connection was leaky and required me to re-connect it. Once the head is on you simply stand on the foot-rests and give it several lofty pumps until you reach the necessary PSI. When you release the head there is almost no air-loss, and so you never need to overfill your tires. This is probably my favorite feature. In comparison to other cheaper pumps on Amazon I would say: BE VERY CAUTIOUS! I was tempted to buy a cheaper pump around the $20 to $30 price range but you get so much more with this model. A few friends have gone the cheap route only to have their pumps break on them, and many of them take a lot longer to fill up a tire due to poor design or just being too small. I wanted to get a lifetime bike pump and I am certain that I have found it with this one.Lastly, I have not had to use their customer service or warranty support, but based on other reviews around the internet their response time is very good. I will be sure to update this review if I ever need to contact them.Happy riding!
