I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of leather. It's has a great feel of a top-end product! The craftmanship is well made, not a flaw. I can't speak to the durability because I just received the product but based on how well its hand made I expect to use this for many years. This is a great laptop sleeve. I have had this sleeve for about three months and use it to carry my MacBook Pro. It is a snug fit, as mentioned by other reviews. However, with use, the leather has gotten softer. Holding the bottom of the case, my laptop slides out now with just a gentle pull. When it was new, I squeezed the case in the middle to lessen the resistance when pulling out my laptop. I feel like my laptop is protected better in this case because it does fit snug. Less chance of it sliding out or moving around freely.

As advertised and nice leather, easy close. Not padded but that's what I wanted. Perfect fit for 13" Mac Pro.

It has a good feel, soft leather, no discoloration on the surface, no peculiar smell, which protects my computer very well. I love it!!
