Durable but Difficult
I have been using ShurLok products for over 10 years and always used the side loading ones until 2 years ago, I bought these front loading ones thinking they would be more convenient. I don't know if it's this type of box, or all of them now, but about half of these end up with the numbers being very fidgety about their position and/or difficult to open. I have broken a nail more than once trying to open a sticky door. Never mind the fact that a lot of my clients that need to use these are older, and they report having problems opening it, resulting in my having to switch out their box....and then hoping the difficult box ends up with a younger, stronger person without long fingernails!While the front-loaders ARE more convenient to retrieve the key from, they are NOT easier to close. It is very easy for the key to get caught somewhere so the door can't close. And actually, a few times I HAVE had a problem opening the box where the key gets stuck in the bottom hinge area and the door won't open. This even bent & ruined a key once when one of my workers tried to force the door open!Not to mentioned, these could stand to be wiped down where they are made, as they come with grease all over the moving parts- yuck. If you want to buy this brand, don't buy these, get the side loading ones.Also- What's with the number '2' being a letter 'Z' ?! That used to not be like that... makes me think CHEAP!

Shackle combo function is worthless.
This item boasts having 2 codes, one to open the box, and one to open the shackle.But it's the same wheel and the same combo, just off by 3 numbers, so when you get the box it's factory pre-set to 0000 to pull the shackle open, and the same set of wheels needs to move to 3333 to open the box itself.So if you give someone the combo to open the cover and they know this box, all they have to do is subtract 3 from the code to get to the shackle and remove/steal the box, so it's too easy to defeat... say you change the code to 7878, then if you know that product you'd know that lining up the numbers to 4545 will open the shackle...
