No priming needed as this water resistant paper doesn't buckle, & makes an absolutely ideal surface for oils, acrylics, charcoal, pencil, pen & ink, watercolour & more. Rip resistant, it's wonderful for embossing, scoring, cutting and printing. Made from 75% mineral powder (ground calcium carbonate or limestone) & 25% non-toxic resin, this paper uses no paper pulp, water or bleach during manufacturing. The 348lb paper feels similar to a 300lb watercolour sheet, but is not as stiff as it does not contain any sizing. Roll it up to transport & it will flatten in a few minutes once unrolled.

Best Artist Paper Ever.
I bought 10 sheets of this a year ago and only recently got around to really putting it to the test. The things I have put this paper through....any other paper would have been in shreds. I don't like to have to play delicately with my art. Terraskin is hands-down fabulous for charcoal, pastels, oils and water-media. (Depending on the water-media and the binder, you may have to sand the paper lightly with an 800 grit sand paper to get good adhesion. ) I've even adhered this to a cradled panel and applied lime plaster to it. Because it is mostly limestone it greeted the plaster with a smile...AND I could work it quite heavily with a trowel and brushes without fear of damaging the surface underneath. And there was no bubbling or warping of the T-skin after the plaster dried - always a worry if you are working on linen or canvas on a board.Get this paper. Play. You won't be disappointed.

This stuff is great! I buy this larger size and cut it down to whatever I need. It accepts oil paints wonderfully and stands up to any punishment I have put it through so far.

Nice material to paint on, works for me.
I'd love to know how archival this stuff is. But its pretty resilient and I've been oil painting on it. Intended purpose? probably not, but it's been working. At full price, it's pretty pricey, thank you Amazon for a killer lightning deal that made it possible.
