Sleeveless Vintage Dress with Belt 1950s Dresses for Women

It fit my arms beautifully -- no gap and made me feel slim! Super adorable! Use the dress specific size chart for a perfect fit. I am an athletic build at 5'4" and the large was perfect. I purchased the crinoline to go with it and felt very confident.

I love this dress! There is no stretch in the waist, so pay attention to the measurements. My waist is about 28 inches and I could just barely zip it up. For refer, I am 5'4", weigh 144 lbs, and my measurements are 32-28-38. I ordered a small, mostly because my upper body is small. I am a 34 B cup size, and there was extra room in the top portion for those with a larger bust. Overall, I love the fit, the dress has thick, good quality fabric and its very well made! I plan to order another one. My petticoat is from Grace Karin on Amazon, and I ordered the hat, gloves, and pearl necklace set from Amazon, as well.

Was nervous to order this as there’s so few reviews- but I’m so glad I did! I’m postpartum so nothing looks good on me yet, but needed something for a July wedding. This looks good with it without a belt, and also without a petticoat so I’m glad not to add the extra layers. There’s a teeny bit of stretch to make the fit perfect and comfortable!

Overall I'm really happy with this dress. The pockets are nice and deep, and are lined with the same sturdy material as the rest of the dress. Order according to the size chart - I have that thing turned on where you give Amazon your height and weight and answer some questions about your build, and it recommends a size for you, and that suggested a Small. I went with a Medium because my bust measurement is about 37" (34C/32D bra), and I'm glad I did, because the fabric has little to no stretch and my chest barely fits in the Medium. My natural waist is about 28", and I'm 5'8" with a long torso. The waist of the dress hits about 2" above my natural waist and is a little big, but the belt helps with that. I machine-washed it on a delicate cycle with cool water and regular Tide powder and dried on medium heat, and there didn't seem to be any color bleeds or shrinking. The wrinkles from shipping came out in the wash. You probably want a racerback or crossback bra to wear with this, because the top is cut slightly like a halter. I wore it to a birthday lunch last week and got lots of compliments.

This dress is amazing! I am 5'6", 140lb, Size 10 pants and 34B. I ordered the Medium size and it fits perfect! No loose gaps in the chest, its slightly stretchy at the waist but fits comfortably, and it goes down just past my knees. Its so comfortable, thick material, and the zipper is hidden and well made (didn't snag once). I took the styling advice from another reviewer and paired the dress with some yellow retro style pumps by Chase + Chloe. As someone who wears dresses once, maybe twice a year, the part I can really appreciate is the POCKETS!!!! Couldn't be happier! Wearing to a wedding tomorrow, it's sure to be a hit!

I needed a dress for my brother's wedding and was looking for something like this specifically!For reference I'm 5'6" and weigh 158lbs. I typically where a medium/6-8 depending upon the fit and material of clothing.After researching this extensively, I found what was most helpful was reading the reviews, thus I figured leaving a review myself would help the next person in search of a dress!! The fit, length, feel, everything was very comfortable and flattering. I got so many compliments! I plan on wearing this dress again. My dress does have pockets and came with a little black waist belt as well. It dry cleans beautifully! The quality of this dress is very nice. No loose threads or seams and the zipper works well. The design is beautiful and it fit as expected. And it has pockets so what's not to love?I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with the thin belt that's pictured but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. The color is true to what's pictured and the style is very flattering. I'm 5'5" and it goes just below my knees. It did need some light ironing when I first got it and I suggest using a low setting if you are going to iron it.

I am well endowed so it is difficult to match my top half with my bottom half. But when that zipper made it to the top & I could still breathe...I knew this was a winner. I got so many compliments. This is a cute but modest summer dress.
