This replaced a battery that had gassed enough to raise several of the keys. The kit came with pry tool, and screw drivers needed to install the battery.You need a grounding strap on your skin somewhere to remove any static charge before you open, and until the case is closed.This laptop had a metal case, so you need the plastic pry bar to open it. after opening the case replacement was simple. As I recall, this battery cost around $100. To have The 'GEEK SQUAD' replace it, would have been over $200?!

Does the job. It's a battery. About 6 months in and I haven't noticed any swelling or leaks. The original battery failed after 2 years of continuous 90C+ use, and degraded to about 1.5 hours usage. After cycling the new battery about 4 or 5 times, the new one lasts about 3-4 hours in my laptop.

This product was exactly what I needed. It came with other stuff to help me install and replace the other battery.

Battery does not last nearly as long as original. Good value for price.

Purchased it on 1 Feb 2020 and absolutely dead on 1 Nov 2020 (i.e cant even run for 1 millisecond without plug). Average battery run time(over 10 month) was 1.2 hour to 1.5 hour on 100% charge.Plugged in old original battery again as this one is completely dead, getting 45 min as battery cant charge more than 67%(may be some cells are damaged).
