I'm a huge fan of Capri Tools. I have purchased multiple mechanics tool sets from them -- extensions, bit sets, etc. When this flashlight came out years ago, reviews that I liked gave it a thumbs up. I always held off as I didn't need the light at the time. However, recent events led me to need a UV light for auto diagnostics. I decided to buy this light based on my knowledge of it. What immediately disappointed me was the silicone cover that shields the charging port (micro USB, a disappointment of its own). The cover will not securely stay inside the port for which it is designed. As you use the light and handle it, the port cover just pops open. Pretty frustrating. As I knew it would soon rip off the body of the light, I decided to return the flashlight as a whole. Otherwise, the construction quality of the light, its output in both white/UV is as marketed. No disappointments there. I cannot readily speak to the duration of the battery as I didn't own it long enough to test for this. Make of my concerns what you will. Definitely trust the brand, just can't recommend this light.

Upon unpackaging this light I was impressed by the build quality, but also put off by the perceived frailty of the light portion of the wand. The light is an easy turn dial to power on, and a slide up/down toggle for UV vs the regular light.While it's charging, the handle will have a red diode that stays solid. Upon being fully charged it changes to blue. Out of the package it took about 2 hours to fully charge, though I don't know how much charge it contained to begin with. A set of battery light indicators like Astro's version would've been nice.The top of the light has a magnet that is quite strong and can hold the entire wand, but I think it's meant for stray nuts, bolts, and nails. The bottom swivel mount is incredibly sturdy and you turn a dial around it to tighten it into position. If you unscrew the dial too far the ball end of the swivel will actually come apart, so be mindful of that. There are also two hooks on each end of the back to hang the unit up by if you so please.I took this light to my basement with everything off to test both light settings (see photos), and both were incredibly impressive. I'll have to return in a few months time to assess if any issues have presented themselves with the unit, but I don't forsee anything going out on it. This is rated for 3-3.5hrs at the max lumen output, but I wonder if it will actually last that long. TBD.Hope anyone considering this light found this helpful. Worth the price in my opinion.

Magnet is strong. Rocker switch to change to uv light gets in the way .

Upon powering on this new light for the first time after charging, I could only get minimal illumination from the light (really dim) on the "brightest" setting. I turned the light on and off several times with the same results. Finally, I left the light powered on on the brightest setting and it eventually illuminated at the highest setting. I tried to replicate the issue by putting it back on the charger and ran in to the same defective result. Amazon exchanged the light without any issues. I just received the replacement and has the exact same issues. I called Capri support, and they want me to send the light to them for inspection. Once they receive and inspect the light, they offered to ship out a new one. Honestly, do you think I want to be part of your product testing team? Product testing should have been done already. I would have been happy to ship the light to them if they would get one out to me asap. Customer service = a working light asap. I'll stick with the brands that have been reliable for me. Amazon took care of the return with no issues, of course. I doubt this light will hold up in a shop environment and go for the "long haul". Look for a better quality light such as the Astro Pneumatic versions. The Milwaukee and Snapon work lights are quality alternatives as well. A little more costly though!

Excellent product. Light is very bright, UV light works great on AC diagnosis. Base magnet is very strong. Love the product. The only thing I would change is a stiffer button that switches between UV and regular. I find myself switching it accidentally all the time which is kind of annoying.

This work light is extremely bright, the intergraded UV light is very useful and bright as well. Both of the light are dimable. The magnet on the end is very strong it holds the light where you need it. I totally recommend this light.

This light fell a few times from me doing car repair and now it's shutting off suddenly and unexpectedly. I do not recommend this light.
