Banana Corn Stripper Slicer

Guess you get what you pay for. Says it will cut cucumbers but that was the first thing I tried (baby/mini cukes, not big ones as I didn't have them and they wouldn't have fit in the opening anyways). It didn't even begin to cut them.And the 2 pieces are slightly off set from each other so when you try to squeeze them together to make a cut they hit each other rather than passing through to make the cut. You have to manipulate it with your hands to make them not hit (if that makes sense).Will be returning. I did get them primarily for hotdogs and for cucumbers as a bonus, but with the 2 parts not lining up right it's not even worth trying to see if they'll cut through hot dogs. Will look to probably get one for the price of this set of 2. The "free" one isn't worth it when neither work.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but this flimsy thing was not it. Every time you press it all the way it gets stuck. Finally realized if you hit it on the counter it will release pretty easily but I’m not sure the blades or my counter could take it. Bought it for my 6 yr old to cut hotdogs with, first time trying he couldn’t get it to cut, I tried but had to press so hard that my hand slipped when I finally got it to go and sliced my finger on the back side of the blades, which don’t need to be sharp anyways. I use the term blades loosely, it’s just cheap, thin pieces of aluminum. I wouldn’t even let my son wash them because I was afraid he would cut himself. It cut through a banana fine, but don’t expect anything harder than that. It couldn’t slice a hotdog, I would assume it would bend and break if I tried to slice a cucumber with the skin.

Got rust spots after going in the dishwasher. Good for bananas, but not much else. I can’t see this cutting through anything with firm flesh such as cucumbers since it didn’t want to cut my hotdogs. The opening is also small, not much bigger than girth of a banana.

To small for bananas

I went to a Açaí place and saw the girl using this contraption so I looked on Amazon of course and found it. I like how quick and easy it was to slice a whole banana.

Totally give a thumbs up on this. Excellent for banana pudding, cereal, fruit salad. Insert and push down and slice a banana in 30 seconds.

Makes slicing bananas easy peasy. I dehydrate bananas all the time. All the slices are the same size. Just rinse with water to clean.

AWFUL!!! BOTH BUSTED AFTER 1-2 USES. JUNK. DEFINITELY BETTER THINGS TO WASTE YOUR MONEY ON! I WOULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS IF I COULD.

I use this at my shop to slice bananas onto crepes and waffles and it is great.Best to clean and wipe straight after rather than leave any bits to dry. If not, soak it in hot water for abit.Those using this "banana" slicer on other fruit and veg, should really look at the name of it. It is for bananas. It does a great job.

It's not good quality I am regret buying this product

Cheap garbage. I tried to slice a hot dog with one and it barely dented it. Blades are dull, and they get stuck constantly. These are not good. Do not waste your money.

Works well, cutter sticks in the closed position on occasion.
