I purchased the 4" depth half pan, which when matched with its accompanying lid ( amazon.com/Carlisle-10230U07-StorPlus-Polycarbonate-Universal/dp/B002NDZD6I/ref=pd_sbs_4?pd_rd_w=723Ue&pf_rd_p=527ea27c-adf6-4b67-9c5f-265eb29e0622&pf_rd_r=PAFHVEG1HXT8MSJGPKQ5&pd_rd_r=b9443114-ffa0-4dbd-bba5-74594f22707d&pd_rd_wg=11Ggf&pd_rd_i=B002NDZD6I&psc=1 ) acts as an excellent and economical food storage container. The polycarbonate is rugged and durable and will last for years barring any heat or shock abuse. The plastic will not melt or crack easily, but excessive heat or force will cause damage. One caveat – this did not "nest" as expected with other Carlisle polycarbonate containers. I have also purchased 4", and 6" inch 1/3 pans, but they will not nest accordingly inside this half pan, as one would expect. The problem is that the walls of this half pan are not exactly vertical/squared, so a 1/3 pan cannot fit inside without "bowing" this pan's walls, and as such, will not rest in a settled nested stack. So while the container works fine, has the expected measure of volume, and matches excellently with a lid, it is not as precisely modular as it should be with alternate standard sized containers. The inability to stack these varied sized containers together eliminates on the efficiency of storage available, considering they will have to be stored in separate stacks.

This bin is very sturdy. We use it to keep most of our vegetables in the fridge so they’re within view rather than being hidden in non-transparent shelf at the bottom of the fridge. I also notice that vegetables and herbs last much longer if the bin is closed in the fridge with its corresponding lid.

Half tray came out of the box looking like it was in the back of a pickup truck for awhile…very dirty and scuffed up.Washed up nicely but still scuffed up however, this is not acceptable for the presentation of a new product to a customer.Returning it for another. Fingers crossed!Got a replacement and it was as one would hope for and expect. Appeared pretty clean and was scuff free. It looked new…as it should. Thanks Amazon for the support.

I actually use this pan for my turtle. It's the perfect depth for her to be perfectly submerged and it's easy to clean and change the water daily.

Works great in my new cooler... Cheaper than a rack or other storage options for your cooler

I used this to make a basking area for my turtles.

I was surprised when i put the water in. This one had a hold in the middle and there were cracks around it. It doesn’t seem like it was intentionally designed like that. Also, the pics come with the lid but there was no lid for me. So disappointed!!
