Golf Cart Ignition Key Switch Uncommon Unique Key Club Car Precedent DS Electric

I wanted to change the key in my 2018 Club Car Tempo because the generic key has led to some cart thefts in our area. The key change took me less than an hour and was very easy.

Easy to install, fit perfectly. Will order more for our other carts!

There has been a lot of reports about golf carts being taken for joy rides and ditched when the battery died in the campground we go to. I wanted an extra layer of protection for my cart. It was easy to remove the old switch and install the new one. Simply unplug the old one and remove it. Put the new one in and plug the wire back in. The longest part of the process was removing the panel it goes on because it required two different types of screwdrivers and I had to go back to the tool box.

2011 Club Car DS 48volt (IQ, like the Precedents) , it is modified and will hit 26+ mph... in a community that has a lot of carts,beach, etc... some local kids had the standard key and stole it, and others, for a 2 hour joy ride,. Cops Called, kids busted, and yep, Felony busted !! This key will stop that silliness. It was very easy to install....HOWEVER !!!! Put your cart in TOW mode, or disconnect - neg battery cable, in a DS Cart, when you pull the dash, the key switch can arc on the aluminum trim, not good. Take your time and pay attention, install is super simple, and worth it...Stealing a golf cart is a Felony ! Spoiled brats and rich parents panicking...Customers cart is safe now...

Able to fit both custom and OEM applications. I was able to use existing OEM wiring without modifications. Comes with a new faceplate for an OEM install. Nice to have the added bonus of a unique key.
