I love the taste of this Sumatra decaffeinated coffee, whether it' comes as ground or whole been. This two-pound bag is whole bean, so you do need a coffee grinder for it, but the brand comes pre-ground as well. I've been drinking this brand for almost a year now.I can't drink regular decaf coffee because the sodium in it has just as bad effect on me as the caffeine in regular coffee. I was so happy to find this brand that uses the Swiss water decaf method, which doesn't add sodium to the coffee beans, so I can drink as much of it as I want without feeling the effects of either caffeine or sodium.If anyone is on a sodium and caffeine restricted diet, I totally recommend this brand.

Wow, this truly is a great decaf. It has the same notes that come from a much more caffeinated cup of coffee.This should be a definite, 'add to my list' decaf if you're looking for such a robust coffee. Really hard to believe this is decaf!

The decaf hazelnut is delicious - shocking good coffee for amazon. I am really impressed. The vanilla flavor on the other hand was not good at all. Fine for some, I'm sure, nothing objectively wrong with it, it was just very artificial tasting. Not for me AT ALL.That's all subjective - but the bummer that made it lose a star is that the package doesn't seal easily. Such a pain, and an easy way to lose freshness.

The best coffee I have ever had was in Mumbai where a South Indian family roasted green coffee beans on the spot, ground them immediately and made coffee right away This coffee is about as close as to that that I have ever had in the 82 years of my life. I am allergic to strong coffee. It seriously affects my digestive system. Even the decaf coffees in US restaurants do that.This coffee is laid out in the rain and sun and it must take out some of the harsher components of the bean.Although it comes from Kerala India, I was there recently. and could not find it anywhere because it is all exported to other countries or to fancy restaurants in India.I like the light to medium roast. The flavor is rich but without the bitterness. I take it with coconut creamer and it is delightful. I like that the decaffeination process uses the Swiss water process so there is no methylene chloride residue.Don' think about it twice. Buy it. You won't regret it if you have trouble with coffee you get in restaurants.

Great flavor. 100% fresh beans

Late last night when i was up tending to my 18 month old son i ground some beans and loaded my coffee maker set to brew just before i typically wake up. When i woke up i smelled a rich nutty scent in the air that sent me into a panic. "What is that smell? Oh crap! Did i leave the oven on?" upon which i bolted out of bed to the kitchen ready to confront a possible disaster. And then with a bead of sweat on my forehead i came to the realization... "Whaaa that was the coffee???" At which point a felt a complete dolt, but in awe of this coffee. This would be my first experience with Swiss water process decaf (that i know of). I have to say this is the first time i can truly say that while i could still tell it was not regular it was far and away the best decaf i have had. Really found myself enjoying my first cup and going back for more. A beautiful nutty rich flavor that can stand proudly on its own, but i am really looking forward to making some reduced caffeine blends that no doubt will impress. The only negative thing i will say is not really about this coffee since its a medium roast, for what it is its great. But i do wish Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. made a Swiss water process roast that was a bit bolder and darker than this. I feel like its missing that bold pop you get from the classic dark roast. But as a said, a small gripe easily solved by blending in some tasty medium dark regular beans. A FAR preferable problem than the trendy over roasted semi coffee flavored garbage that so many people flock to. In summary this coffee is a fantastic and delicious deal you shouldn't pass up.
