Japanese Snack Assortment Full of "DAGASHI", "OHIMESAMA Snack Selection" (L)J (40pcs(L) pack of 2)

I ordered this on oct 31 hoping it would come in time for christmas. It did not. Additionally, there was a hole in the back of two of the products (someone ate it by accident and threw it away before i could take a pic!) and on the other product it is taped together.Maybe it is supposed to be like that but i would think most buyers would be a little anxious to eat anything exposed to air.I also only got 39 pieces of which 3 were inedible so needless to say i will not be ordering again.

Got a whole lotta stuff in here. Other reviews were right. Heavy on the corn snacks but I am ok with that. Everything was great! I love the flavored jerky (not 100% that what it was but one was beef and the other was eel and it was thin and delicious!) And I loved the little bags of fried noodles.

Aside from having little control over the snacks you receive, the OHIMESAMA Snack Selection 40 pc. assortment is a fun exploration of current "Dagashi" in Japanese culture. Back in the late 80s, I spent my high school years on the island of Okinawa, so I was exposed to quite a bit of their pop culture drinks,snacks, and candies. This assortment from OHIMESAMA was purchased for my daughter, and while she's enjoyed some of the offerings, others had too much umami for her. At least she had the opportunity to try them, and I my wife and I end up getting the shrimp crisps and similarly unusual foods while her tastes run more to Pocky sticks and sweet/sour candies.These offerings are the equivalent of penny candy and Japanese junk food, but the eye-popping packaging and small form factor make they a lot of fun to both see and eat. It would be the perfect gift for anyone into modern day Japan and it's culture.~ Kort

Love it, it did not have junk filler like the others (like a simple rice cake in clear plastic with no wording, etc.). I enjoy getting these boxes very much for the taste of local junk food in Japan (I have watched too many you tube videos and wanted to experience foreign treats for myself and this is a great way to get more than comes in a "Tokyo Box" branded box at three times the price (If you do not need detailed English descriptions of every item and a bunch of other fancy publishing and packing materials that makes it cost way too much then try this route) This seller takes great care in their selection and the amount I got for the price was amazing and they had a lot of stuff that you do not normally see from people that buy a few wholesale packs and give the same basic stuff every time. These seem like someone cares, even for the little items, like they take their time to find all kinds of different treats that you do not normally find. I do not know if I can explain it but a lot of others get something like a retail box of individually celo wrapped crackers or something and throw one of them in each box and you have no clue how to identify it and also seem like boring items, not this snack selection!!! I will be ordering again, and I look forward to it. to sum up price, quality, selection, freshness, and premium item feel is par none and I highly recommend this supplier for a taste of Japan. This is the only review like this I have left after getting three a month for a few months from different sellers. Keep up the great work and you will keep me hooked on your boxes!!!!Also as a side note, all of these boxes take a while to get to the USA from Japan due to trying to keep the expense low, this actually came very fast comparatively to others ordered this way. This is a good deal price wise and gives a good variety of different dagashi including some that might be hard to find at smaller shops, very old fashioned and traditional with modern types as well. shipping time was about two weeks which is good from Japan for a box this size. Try to ration it as it can get eaten quick if you lack control. Would buy again.

Me and my brother got this and it was super fun tasting all of the things in it. We liked just about everything that came in the box. I even happened to get a matcha KitKat in the box which happens to be my favourite candy so that made me even happier. It was nice to see bright busy packaging like on these which isn't common where I live. I really liked the spicy seasame pod with peanuts snack that was in it as well as pretty much everything else. It was super fun and worth the price.

This is fun! I don’t know what half the stuff is, which is half the fun for me! I don’t have allergies to anything so I don’t need to know what’s in all of the stuff. There’s some of the snacks that I thought were really gross, but again, that’s part of the enjoyment!

I didn’t like any of the treats in this box. Won’t buy this again :(
