get a Sonoff TH10 as a controller and you're golden
after using this for 1 year, im happy. it is expensive, it needs a controller, but since i started using a Sonoff TH10 to control it with wifi and its been working flawlessly. im using it in a 4x8x8ft grow tent and i can set it to keep the humidity level at 67% during veg and it keeps it at 67%. beats the hell outta filling up a 4l humidifier twice a day.

It is great for a commercial application (I don't use it at a home)
I see some negative reviews on this humidifier. Thing is that it is a commercial humidifier and it does produce a lot of humidity. I run two in each of my grow rooms at my mushroom farm and these guys keep things up to 99% humidity (which is good for mushrooms). I have them plumbed with so there is hardly any upkeep with the occasional clean up. (Pluming it was easy and hooked 4 up for about $50 to one hose) I recommend this product if you need a space very moist, I couldn't imagine having one in my home though.

Complete pc of garbage
Complete pc of garbage, I used it for about 3 months and it was extremely loud, the auto fill valve does not work properly so it stuck on and destroyed my flooring from water damage, the mist that comes out is so scaly if ruined classic books and furniture. Now I am out of my return window so I guess I will be throwing away $250. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Great Comfort
I love this humidifier. True evaporation, not heated or sonic, works by air drafting. I added a humitiy control which the humidifier plugs into and the controller plugs in the outlet. Keeps the room the perfect humidity. Oh, tip: use distilled or softened water to keep unit clean. It does work tap water, too.

Nice fog and able to gravity feed water supply
I needed a fogger to add humidity to a grow tent being used to grow cool growing orchids. Most models have tanks that need to be constantly filled and keep running dry. This can hook up to a water source which is perfect for what I needed. I took a 5 gallon bucket and drilled a hole in the bottom then used a gasket seal to connect it to dehumidifier intake with a silicone hose. The float valve in the humidifier works great and I can now gravity feed water from the bucket into the humidifier. The humidity is not adjustable but I have it on a timer so it comes on and off throughout most of the day. Provides an excellent fog which is what I needed time will tell how long that lasts but right now I'm very happy with my purchase

Packaging issues
I really like this humidifier as it seems to do ok with standard tap water. I find the ultrasonic kind leaves mineral deposits unless you use RO water. Unfortunately the unit was not shipped properly and arrived broken. It was abnormally loud during operation, then one day the fan destroyed itself by hitting the float valve. Just glad I was home at the time because this would have flooded the room. Other reviews said the same thing so I think this is a shipping issue.

Greenhouse essential
Used this for my hobby greenhouse along with a humidity control switch (purchased separately). It’s really helped improve air root growth with my orchid collection. Worth the money!

Worked last year but not this year.
After a little over a year, it won’t keep my 250 sq. Ft room over 60%...for the last year it worked great and would be too much. Had to run it on a timer so the room didn’t hit 85%...not anymore. No idea why.Edit. I know why. Because I was dumb and didn’t clean it well enough. I didn’t realize how much calcium chloride was caked on there. Took it apart and cleaned it properly. Works well!
