Just Imagine Stan Lee Creating the Dc Universe 1

Intriguing concept and good execution
This book contains four separate but loosely connected stories focusing on reimagined versions of Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern and Batman, all written by Stan Lee. In each one he takes the basic concept of each character and gives them a new name, history, personality and so on. In this version Batman is Wayne Williams, a wrongfully imprisoned ex-convict who becomes Batman to get revenge on the mobster responsible for his incarceration, Wonder Woman is Maria Mendoza, a South American activist empowered by an Aztec sun god, Superman is Salden, an alien police officer stranded on Earth and Green Lantern is Len Lewis, a professor given super-powers by the World Tree Yggdrasil. All the stories are a lot of fun and the new versions of the classic DC heroes are intriguing characters that you want to see more of after reading this. There are a few plot holes (for example how is Batman able to make a fortune as a pro wrestler without revealing his identity?) but overall this is a highly enjoyable read, suitable for both long-time fans and new readers.

Stan Lee maybe fm marvel but hes still a god in my books!
This man is responsible for creating some of the best known characters in the marvel universe. Im more of a DC man myself so with great sceptiscism (any help wiv me spilling apreciated lol) I approached this title thinking stick to your own side your good at what you do leave DC out of it, but what did I find when I opened up? This book is outstanding Stan has taken the characters we all know and love and turned them upside down and back to front and done a damn good job of it the story lines are absolutely brilliant as is the art work if you are only gonna buy one book this year and your a die hard DC fan get this its worth it enjoy

Stan's still got it
Sorry about the rating, but this is not a five star concept, but it is a five star execution, reminding us just what a talent Stan is. He totally reimagines DC characters in a way that seems so familiar. This book proves that Stan Lee is a bottomless pit of comic book creativity, a silly idea that makes perfect sense once you read it, and it made me into a fan of Stan all over again. Good fun.
