Magic in a pallette
These magic paints are T H E real deal. All of the myriad “metallic,” “iridescent,” or “sparkly” paints are trying to imitate. When using them full strength, it’s like painting with colorful metal. Using them as accents on your regular paintings can bring things to a whole new level.I 1000 out of 10 do absolutely recommend. It’s hard to go back to the cheap paint once you have the privilege of using the real thing. I am very pleased I saved up for the big set.

Colors May Not Be What You Are Expecting
I was so excited to get this set based on the reviews and the product images. It appeared that that colors were vibrant and saturated. The metallic colors are nice! The gold to bronze colors go on smoothly even on the first pass and have lots of great shimmer. The other colors however were a big disappointment even with multiple applications. I was expecting much brighter reds, greens and blues which, to my eye are more grey or brick. Anyway, go for the gold if that is what you are looking for! But, if you are looking for intense or brilliant colors, you may want to keep looking.

For specific uses, if desired
I received this set for mother's day. There are two levels a metal tin for mixing. The paints snap in place. There's room for two brushes. The photo really missed on the actual colors. Must've been the reflective properties. I'll use it with my other pearly and iradescent sets for more colors. Most seem quite opaque. Some needed two passes. The swatches look better when the strokes go in one direction. As on lower right, you can see through some colors. I didn't try shading, but they aren't like regular shades. Mixing colors would likely make mud. I'd use for borders for greeting cards. I need more variety even for a portrait or animal. Ease up on water when first wetting. You can wet swatch to remove paint. The metallics look similar.
