As a 37 year old guy, I'm possibly not the typical target for this piece of kit, but in these times where everyone has to stay inside, I thought I'd shell out a bit of cash so that I had a good way to get in touch with friends and loved ones, and have them be able to see me clearly and with a decent camera stability.The number of times I've been chatting to older loved ones and it's like chatting to someone who's doing a Zumba class in an earthquake, at night. The screen moves around so much and, even when it is steady, I can't make out anyone's features as they're so poorly lit. It's headache-inducing. This stand is the answer to all those issues.I've already conducted numerous conversations on WhatsApp and Skype with friends and family members, both in this country and abroad, and done a few work-focused meetings on Google Meet. This stand has worked like a charm. I've been clearly lit, without feeling like I was being interrogated, and the phone has been held steady as a rock throughout.If I was to make a minor criticism, the armature that holds the phone could be a shade longer, but only by maybe a few inches, to give a little extra height to the filming angle. But that would be nit-picking.It works beautifully either powered by a laptop or via a USB plug, has 3 light settings, which are individually adjustable from dim through to bright, and folds down so that it easily fits in a drawer or a laptop bag. The clip on base is strong enough that it would be adjustable to many surfaces, so I imagine it'd also be great for filming video blogs or online tutorials too.Great product. I'd certainly recommend it.

Bought this to add to my virtual meeting effectiveness, as all the light in my home office comes from behind me so my face was quite dark on camera. This light is easy to assemble and fit, powers off a USB 2.0 port on my laptop, and illuminates me very effectively. I don't use the phone holder, but this is also simple and effective, though could be a little deeper.The light offers three colour temperatures, each with multiple brightness settings, switched between by the in-line remote control. The cable is long enough that it could be plugged into a USB socket on an extension cable at the base of my desk and still have the remote control on the desk.A very good purchase all round.

This is pretty good, it's easy to assemble and it clipped to my table well. The light ring was of decent brightness, and if you take a selfie with and without the light, it's far more flattering with. The flexible tubes will not hold too much weight (NB I also bought a bigger ring for choice, and the fixings were all interchangeable and worked together so are probably standard). This has to be very near your face to make a difference on video calls and that meant having clamped near where I sit. I found a standing ring on a tripod worked better. It's a good product for the money, but I wasn't impressed that it's costing me £4 for return postage to send it back.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this ring light.Pros- Strong but not blinding, perfect for videocalls when lighting is an issue- Flexible, can adjust it in pretty much any position- Highly adjustable, has several setting for intensity and light colour- Cord is actually pretty longCons- Not really a con, but the light (as seen in the pictures) comes with another rod to place your phone on. If you only need the light it's just an unused arm. Not an issue with the light however.I personally have it plugged straight into the power usb socket so I can use it as ambient lighting in the room even if the laptop is not on. For that price I highly recommend it!

Just bought my 3rd of this model.Used to provide multi-directional, lighting for 'working from home' office video conferences (no shadows and counter external sunlight during the day). Offer great brightness, complete control and the 3 light options create warm - to - very white options. The Table/desk clip is strong and it holds my large iPhone well [I don't use this]; the overall build quality is excellent.Wanting even more brightness options, I bought a 12" competitor's product - only to be hugely disappointed becase it was half as bright as this (fewer LEDs) - that's now replaced my 3rd purchase of these.If you're looking for a compact-but-bright light for video/phone recording I can't imagine a better option than this.

The functionality of the clip and bendable arms is handy and strong. The different light tones are handy as well. I did think the light would be brighter at full though which was a little dissapointing. Would recommend to the manufacturer, a less clouded light cover option which can be swapped out at will. I am trying to use it to brighten my face to combat window light behind me though. When screwing the phone holder tight, the tightening bit snapped with almost no force, I'm quite careful about these things. I see someone else had this issue, probably should have checked that before I bought. But whacked some cello tape around it which will hold it together, I'm not too fussy. Would recommend using a stronger plastic on that bit to the manufacturer.For those writing about weight of the phone etc... I don't think they read the full description, this product was made and designed a few years ago and it says what it's compatible with.

Really wasn't expecting too much of this at this price point, however I'm actually quite impressed. It's a solidly built unit, the posable arms are metal with a nice plastic finish and the whole thing is quite nicely put together. The spring clamp is plenty strong enough for supporting the light and my phone. Does exactly what it said it would do and its a really solid feeling little stand, plenty of brightness from the unit and it, several different warmth and brightness settings and the provided cable is long enough for you to be able to move the unit around if required. Great value for money.
