This gets a 1 just because the product looks like the picture and it was easy to piece together. Thats the good part. The bad: Some poor Chinese person, probably making 38 cents an hour, did not take the time to make sure the slats in the side panels were properly aligned before stapling the panels together. They protrude out one end 3/8 inch on one end of both sidepieces which prevents the corners from sealing together tightly. So I have a full height crack down two of the corners that will have to be patched. I cannot hammer the slats into place because each of the multiple slats on each side panel is stapled in with multiple staples. Also, one slat had obvious damage that was not found in the box so it should have been seen easily in the factory--gotta patch that. Also the bottom pieces (4) do not fit the length of the floor of the box. A good 3/4 inch gap there. All these things have to be patched to keep soil and nutrients from freely leaking out of the box. Service from seller and shipping were fine, but this thing could have been pretty nice and instead is a headache that has to be rigged up in order to work properly. Then the seller or Amazon lowered the price almost $10 the week after I bought it. Too much trouble to re-pack and return so I'll just deal with it and continue whine--- a lot.

I purchased two of these 4 feet long planters for my patio and one smaller one. They were easy enough to put together but the quality of the materials is not good. At the first rain, the boards warped. The planter was together but the sides warped as well as the pieces of wood on the bottom of the unit (I hadn't yet put plants in planter when it rained). For the price of these planters, I expected much higher quality. I would not recommend these if you plan to use them outside.

I have had the 48 inch one for a year. They are somewhat flimsy as others have mentioned. I would not recommend filling with dirt/plants and putting outside. I reinforced all corners, limed with plastic and added a coat of stain all around. A bit time consuming but it is holding up well and filled with bamboo. Puting large planters inside would do the trick as well. It is not high quality wood and anything you assemble in 10/ minutes is going to.lack stability

I didn't order this planter. I have no idea how I got it, but it was too expensive to send back so I kept it. I'm so glad I did! I planted a lot of plants that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees, and put it at the edge of my deck in front of my bird feeders. It has attracted many birds - some I hadn't ever seen before. It looks so nice, and I've never been a fan of wooden planters. I highly recommend this planter!

Poor quality wood and manufacturing of product. Unit did not fit together properly. Sides and bottom were so thin it would never withstand any pressure from being filled with dirt. Add to that the fact the whole thing looked cheap and I cannot imagine ever buying from this vendor again. Looks NOTHING like the pictures provided in their advertisement.

This planter was exactly what I have been looking for. It is easy to put together and looks great. I was just going to plant some flowers in it, but the size is perfect for planting vegetables too.

The assembly is very flimsly and could not accommodate the heavy plants that I bought. Very disappointed and had to return them. Seller was good in giving me credit immediately.

Looks just like the picture. Beautiful cedar planter, slightly rough wood so don't expect a smooth polished finish. I painted it with a clear finish because it will be outside in challenging weather (MN). Another review said how it doesn't put together and initially I thought so too--but it's only just poorly written instructions. So when mounting, which is simple (16 screws), just be sure to start by putting the slight groove/bend on the edge of the long side pieces up and facing out. This will make sense when you see the pieces. Then you can look for the same edge to line up the end pieces, and it will all fit together. If you don't do this, it won't fit! The instructions should say this and they don't, so that's why I gave 4 stars, not 5.
