Bloch's Dansoft ballet slipper is ideal for young dance students. A full leather sole encourages secure stepping, while an elastic strap over the instep makes for a flexible fit. Founded in Sydney, in 1932 by Jacob Bloch, Bloch is a pioneer in the technical dance market. Since its inception, the renowned footwear brand has produced handmade pointe shoes for esteemed ballet dancers worldwide. Bloch recently entered an exciting new period of innovation and fashion design with the creation of mainstream footwear, following the demands by current customers to create street-ready shoes.

Two different shoes
I bought two sets of Bloch ballet shoes for my girls. We were told exactly what to get by the school, very elite place. Being a little over organized I ordered them 4 mos in advance. We tried them on when we got them, having ordered about a 1/2 size bigger than their normal shoe size worked perfectly. We only tried on one shoe for the older daughter and when I went to write their names in their shoes the night before they started, I realized they sent me a 1C (which I ordered) and a 13.5D. Very panicked for my daughter and very dissappointed in the company that sends out an order with two different shoes, mad at myself for not checking better etc.Amazon was great! They refunded me the money and tried to overnight me a pair but only had the proper size in a third party seller. I found the only place where we live that sells dance attire and managed to get her to hold them for me for a higher price but at least we have matching shoes :0). Good job Amazon.

Great for extra wide feet
My daughter has such wide feet, we tried two pairs of different brands' "wide" style and both were not adequate for her "little wide feet." The extra wide size is the E size and it is perfect. The little strings at the top help make the fit even better. They seem so comfy and she loves wearing them!

Wrong width
Ordered a 13M, which is supposed to be normal size width, but received a 13D. Bloch does size their widths a little differently, but M stands for medium, which is a "C" as carried by Bloch. The slipper gaped terribly in the arch area on my daughter.

Nice ballet shoes
These are great little ballet shoes. My daughter wears a wide 9 and that was hard to find in the stores. I bought a size 10 wide and they fit nicely with room to grow. Very soft and well-made ballet shoe. Will definitely stick with the Bloch brand.

Good quality shoe
My four-year-old isn't in dance lessons yet, but I wanted her to have some ballet slipper for make-believe. These are very nice, fit well, and remind me of the dance slippers I had as a little girl. I would recommend this product.

The fit was fine. However the elastic strap was a major problem
I have never done a review but thought I'd go ahead and do so for this product. I bought the pink and black slippers for my toddler who has narrow feet. The fit was fine. However the elastic strap was a major problem. When I received the product, I immediately had my daughter try on the black slippers. Unfortunately one side of the strap came off. Amazon did an exchange quickly, which I appreciated. However, weeks later, the same thing happened to the replacement during ballet class. I was handling the shoe carefully because I didn't want a repeat of the last fiasco, but it happened again. I also want to point out that my daughter only wears it for an hour once a week and only wears it in class...in the last 6 weeks. She also wears another color so it's not like she's worn this specific shoe all that time. Since the return deadline has passed I no longer am able to do an exchange or get a refund. 2 stars for the fit. Everything else sucks.

Cheap, Crappy, Poorly Made, Avoid
The elastic strap broke off after 2 days of use. Very poorly stitched together. Cheap, crappy product. Only buy if you can afford new ones every two days.

Favorite brand
Bloch is my daughter favorite ballet slippers for years. She loves the light pink color and they are very comfortable.
