ab104 1-5/8" Hydraulic Tube Bender

Bought this tool to bend 1 5/8 .083 4130 chromoly for a roll cage. After watching there videos showing how the product worked so well, I decided to give it a try. Out of the box, the tools wasnt packaged very well. Came loose in a large box was was a little beat up. I didnt mind, tools get beat up in the shop as long as it worked well. When the time came to try a few bends, it became clear that this tool isnt designed very well. the tubing wouldnt fit in the die without removing the guide roller and pin assembly, and even still I had to tip the tool forward to allow the pipe to slip into the clamp. Pumped up the jack and instead of a smooth bend, I found my extremely expensive tuning wrinkled on the tight radius and flattened on the backside. Tried bending a softer material (mild steel) with no change. Also tried greasing up the die with little luck. Tried contacting the company to see if I was doing something wrong but all they had to replay was "is your tubing made in china?" (it wasnt, product of the USA). They will no longer reply to my emails and will not accept a refund as it took me a few months to prep the chassis and put the return by date out of reach. Do not buy this tool if you want quality bends with an "affordable bender"

Bent the jack mount and broke the jack trying to bend some DOM that was probably too thick, I replaced the jack and the company was nice enough to send me a replacement jack mount plate. Unfortunately, even on standard mild steel tubing, at 90° I had the same thing happen again. At this point I'm just going to do my best to fix the issues myself. Overall not a very well designed bender and misadvertised for the degrees capable or thickness. I think it would be fine for bending thin steel small amounts, but any job more serious, and I'd recommend you look for another product or be prepared to do a lot of work to it yourself. I gave an additional star for the customer service being nice, and no hate towards the company, but I'd rather not have bought this thing at all and put the money towards a better bender.
