on the small side and what seems like a real design flaw
I rec'd this today, was so excited to try it out.I've seen many comments about how the brush doesn't work to get the garlic skin/scraps out of the "basket" after pressing, that a fork or a knife needs to be used. I've used many garlic presses, this has been the case with any of them that I've used. I don't consider this a design flaw, not sure how one could be designed in any other way.The major problem I have with this - the "basket" isn't attached to the lower handle. With presses I've used in the past, the basket was part of the lower handle and you pressed down into it. After pressing you'd use something to remove the garlic remains and press your next "batch".Not the case with this one. The "basket" is not a part of the handle so after you've pressed the garlic and lift up the handle, the basket comes up with the top of the press - you need to use your fingers to pry it from the top of the press so you can get inside of the basket to remove the scraps from the basket before you can press more garlic. I am a garlic LOVER - I can't think of a scenario where I'd only be pressing one clove and not going on to press more so this is a MAJOR inconvenience. It leads to very sticky and very stinky fingers. This is such a design flaw that I came back here to read the reviews to see if others had commented on it and I'd missed it when reading them before purchasing. If there is a reason it's designed this way and I'm missing something here, I'm all ears - I will happily update my review. The basket is also on the small side, it can only hold two "smallish" cloves of garlic.

Home Run, Looks High Quality, feels high quality and works great. Better than expected.
[UPDATE: More than a year later, still use it on a regular basis, still works and looks like it did the day it arrived]So I got tired of spending so much time trying to chop up my garlic very fine, I actually use a razor blade to do so, Finally broke down and purchased this to try out a mincer for the first time. I actually used it last night for a stew. I really like it! This product is nice and study, all metal and works great, feels nice and heavy, I tried really squeezing hard on it, beyond what you need to press the garlic to test its strength, I think I could bend or brake it if I really tried, but I pressed it well beyond what is needed and it only flexed a little like any metal, just slightly, it only flexed a little and did not bend. So not cheap, should last quite a while. And easy to clean. You pill the dry skin off of the garlic, place in the press and squeeze, the garlic presses through in little pieces and nice and juicy so all that flavor gets into the food. the bottom where the garlic comes out is flat and smooth, I found I have to take a knife, or fork and just scrap the garlic off the press to kind of cut it from the press, much like some cheese hangs on the grader. not a negative, , when you open it, there will be a thin skin left over in the press, just scrape it out with your finger and put the next piece of garlic in. I love it, makes my cooking much easier and I think it helps get the flavor out of the garlic better then chopping. I really like the look and feel, it feels like a quality product, I would think it could sell for much more than it does.

Why didn't I buy one sooner! It's great.
I should have purchased one of these years ago. Dicing garlic with a knife is somewhat of a task since it sticks to the knife, your fingers etc..This will make a nice addition to my growing arsenal of cooking utensils. As some of the other buyers have mentioned, the garlic skin will clog up parts of the basket, however I would expect this happens to any such device. I keep toothbrushes (new unused of course) under the sink to clean such small parts in the kitchen and the time it takes me to clean it is nothing compared to the time it saves me in prep work.In my humble opinion, this is a great product and modestly priced.

Solid, quality product for good price
Good price, good product. Would recommend. Especially love the silicon garlic peeler! So easy and amazing! I can't believe I peeled garlic manually before. Also like the garlic crusher, but it does get a little clogged up. I think this is probably the same across all garlic crushers, so if you need to buy one, I would definitely recommend this product since it's cheap and high quality. Have put it through dishwasher a few times and no rust. Thanks

Quality Product, Great Price
Why did I ever mince garlic myself? This product gets the job done in record time. Simply pop in your unpeeled garlic clove, find a bowl and squeeze. Perfectly peeled garlic. The peel cleans out easily and you're ready to go. Product feels nice and weighty in the hand and has survived multiple dishwasher trips with no issue or signs of wear. I've never needed to use the bonus peeler. Should have bought this months sooner and saved myself so much time and been able to use fresh ingredients every time instead of the jar stuff that sits in the fridge.

It's a garlic press that presses garlic.
This thing works great and seems sturdy enough for my (non-professional) needs. Crushes garlic and is easy to clean. What more do you want? Hooks to hang it? Sure, it's got them. Good for juicing 30 key limes when you make a pie? You bet! You can probably put other things in here and squish them, but I haven't tried any others yet.
