This Salt and pepper grinder works pretty well. It has a stainless steel outer shell with clear plastic windows to see salt and pepper contents. Twist action grind from either side, and both sides have removable caps. I took it apart and the grinding mechanism really is ceramic.I find this grinder is a good value. I have a few other grinders that are a lot more expensive than this one. I wanted another one to use for outside while barbecuing and for the patio. No more need to carry out separate salt and pepper grinders. This suits my need just fine and it looks great for backyard dinners and parties.

We between the hassles of filling the salt & pepper shaker and the end caps constantly falling off when you pick it up I would not recommend this grinder. We used for almost a year before we got to the point of frustration that we just had to replace it with something new, it wasn't worth the constant frustration in our family.

First set came with the parts totally broken apart, replacement immediately was fine. Don't know what to to with the caps, it was hard and tight to uncap, especially you need the grinds right away.

SEE UPDATE BELOW. Build is sleek and it is fairly easy to refill. I did have to experiment a bit to get the grind set appropriately for the salt. The print on the instruction card is extremely small and viewing the device alone doesn't provide clarity on what to do. It didn't take long to figure it out. The appearance is great and it saves a lot of space. I use it daily in preparing meals and refill it maybe once every 2 weeks.UPDATE 12/22/15This product started out working well and the 2 caps at either end gripped tightly, magnetically. Now, the cap on the pepper end does not hold to the magnet at all, making it useless

Very nice. Looks great and works nicely. Seems to be good quality.

Lousy combo. I ruined a recipe or two because the salt part came unscrewed--and I'm very accomplished in the kitchen. Tell me how to return this.

Came apart at the wrong section. Other than that.. It's just too small I'd be filling it up every week. Returning it.

It isn't bad, but it didn't live up to the reviews. It is pretty small and does not hold much product whatsoever. That wouldn't be so bad, if it was easier to open and fill, which it is not.
