Go to dentist
I can't say how durable this is as I haven't actually used it. I find it irritating to have something in my mouth at night, to the point that it prevents me from getting rest. It took a few tries to get it right, shipping back and forth.. maybe a total of 2-3 months. In the end I just ended up using the upper half. I would say save yourself the hassle and if you want them get a dentist to fit them, which they did cringe as a response when I mentioned ordering these.

Great value, but it can take a little more time than going through your dentist
This is my second grind guard, and my first was purchased through and fitted by my dentist. That first procedure was about $600, because my dental insurance didn't cover it.From what I can tell, this company used the same process to capture the mold of your teeth, and generally fit well. It also took about the same amount of time for both my dentist and this company to create and return the guard. This guard is slightly thinner than the one purchased through my dentist (by mm), but it feels like it will do the job. That change in thickness could also be because the industry may now use a thinner but equally-string material. I don't know.A couple of things you should know before ordering: contrasted with going through a dentist, what you save in cost you may pay in time.Specifically:1. you are creating the mold at home, and you are likely not a professional. There is a chance you will have to redo the fitting. I thought I followed the directions well, but the company had me redo the fitting. This added another few days to the process while I waited for the second kit, performed the fitting again, and then mailed them back.2. unlike the dentist, who could make adjustments immediately when I picked it up and tried it on, you have to mail the guard back to the company for them to make any adjustmentsThe good news is the company handled all postage and cost of the second fitting and I didn't have to pay anything additional. The adjustment took about a week to send it out and get it back. They also did a great job on the adjustment the first time, and I don't anticipate having to send it back a second time.If you need a grind guard immediately and you have the cash to spend, going through a dentist may be a better option for you. I didn't mind waiting the few extra days, so I was happy to save hundreds of dollars.

Excellent choice for people with poor/no dental insurance who need nightguard
Found out from dentist (after a tooth cracked and needed emergency repair) that I grind my teeth badly at night and that it is causing damage to multiple other teeth. They recommended a nightguard, insurance decided that wasn't necessary and declined to cover. Long story short I needed to find a quality option that wasn't $1000. Pro Teeth Guard was that option for me. They sent the mold right away (using it was fairly straightforward, just read directions/watch video first) and then about 3 weeks later sent the custom mouthguard. The mouthguard fits well on my teeth and my wife can tell that I no longer audibly grind my teeth in sleep (presumably because I now grind the mouthguard instead of bone). My only complaint, and it is a minor one, is that the mouthguard does feel less comfortable than not wearing it. I don't know if this is minor error on my part when mold was cast, if it is because I chose a thicker guard (at dentist request) or if it is just the nature of wearing one at night. Regardless I wake up most mornings with a bit of jaw sensitivity for about 10-15minutes after I remove the guard. Usually after then I don't notice any tenderness. I don't feel discomfort when I put on the guard at night or before I fall asleep (only tightness) so I think this is maybe the aftermath of grinding at night and maybe is not something the product can stop. It will be a while before I learn from dentist if the product is fully protecting any damage from night grinding but since teeth are no longer in contact I can't see how it would not do so.It is the only guard I've ever had so I can't say if other products might be better but I will say that for about 20% of the price my dentist wanted to charge it has served as a fantastic option. 3 months in and so far I have no real complaints. Many thanks to this company for working to provide a lower cost option for people like me who really did need this product but didn't have funds to pay almost $1000 for it. Would give 4.6 stars if able.

Would NOT recommend
This is a quality made professional night guard. It was great... until it started to hurt my teeth. It was too tight on my front teeth. My front teeth started to hurt and I think began to shift.1. Tight on my front teeth2. It had small indentions on the bottom of it for my bottom teeth to rest in. My dentist did not like this because you will still mash down if your bottom teeth are not comfortable and can not move comfortably during sleep. So I did still mash down, causing jaw pain.3. My dentist didn’t like that all the bottom teeth touched the bottom of the guard at the same time. He said he has been through extensive training for mouth guards and that the canines should make contact first and the back teeth should have clearance to move side to side as needed. He dremeled one of my cheap rubber guards to fit this way and it made a huge difference. I’m using that now while I wait for my dentist to make me one. The reason I didn’t have him make me one in the first place was he wanted $1,200. I should have just paid it and been done with it. Now I’ve had jaw pain for months trying cheap guards that didn’t work. Thought this $200 one would show him, guess I was wrong lol.
