Disappointed to open my package today and get something different ...
Disappointed to open my package today and get something different from what it’s advertised. The sweatvuard is there but only for a small part of the top tube, the rest is covered with a plastic, yes it’s a pocket but you cannot reach into it easily because you have to take Velcro off from under it.I was going to give it a try but I read someone’s review from yesterday; as I had a second look at what I ordered because I remember a different product, not what I received.I don’t want to try it because it is obvious that plastic is not going to absorb the dripping sweat, it will cake on and most likely you would have to scrap it off to access your phone.I understand that products can change but the photo on the product description needs to be updated.I am returning this product. Disappointed.

Great Bike Protection
This is really easy to use. I just wrap the velcro straps around the handlebars twice otherwise they hang down and I hit them with my knees. This catches all the sweat over the frame and handlebars. Still recommend using a towel to keep the handlebars dry where you're gripping with your hands. I don't use the plastic pouch at all because you can't use the phone through it and it's a pain to get in and out while trying to keep a steady cadence on the bike, but I rest my phone on top and it stays well.

Fit is meh but the pockets are a nice addition.
I mainly bought this bike thong because of the front pockets. Although I'm glad I went with the Cycleops (because of the pockets) the fit isn't all that great. The straps don't really hold the thong tight when just wrapped over the middle portion of the bars. I end up putting the straps all the way over the front of the bull horns, under the levers and then back to the underside of the thong where they attach back with velcro. (see photos). This is the only way I can find that the thong stays stretched to its triangular shape. It's not all that ideal in certain hand positions, but it is what it is, I manage. The pockets work great for my tv remote. I also tend to place my phone on the triangular portion so I can tend to emails and messages. It probably wouldn't hold my phone if I didn't route the straps as I did to keep it taut.

Not as pictured as of 11/26/18
The product itself is a good product but it is not as pictured. The one I received had a clear plastic protector for a phone across the portion by the handlebars. The problem is the protector is right where most of my sweat drips. The good news is that you can easily remove it with a seam ripper or sharp blade. The image shows the protector in place but after I removed it. What would have made it more useful was to have the shield use velcro around the whole thing and not be sewn on.

Product not what is shown (discontinued?)
Either the product has changed from that described and shown here or they sent some other product . I received the cycleops sweat guard (it has a clear plastic pocket on top of the Y with velcro closure in the front - can't easily access phone/remotes, sweat just splashes on the plastic. The pocket is located too far back, unless you ride looking down between your knees, and the sweat drips and dries on the clear plastic, so forget using/viewing a phone while its in there. Returned.

Poor design - bad product overall sadly.
This is not a very functional sweat cover. Not sure who exactly designed this, but they must not ride a trainer much. The primary reason your getting this is to protect against sweat while on your bike riding your trainer. The cover has quite abrasive Velcro on the underside which rubs your legs while out of the saddle climbing and even during normal riding.Very poor design, followed by absolute highway robbery of a 33% restocking fee when it was return.Only reason I’m not giving a one is that Saris is a respect brand that typically creates good products. And everyone has a miss every now and again.

The picture isn't what you get
I really wanted a nice sweat pad for my trainer so I picked this one. When it arrived, I saw it isn't what I ordered. Instead I got something that has a plastic pocket covering the widest part of the covering. So instead of absorbing sweat, it bounces off and runs to the side. If they changed the product to a different product, then they need to update the picture. What I got was NOT what I ordered.

NOT AS PICTURED. Buyer beware.
Like several other recent buyers, mine came with a clear pouch at the top for a cell phone, and no over hanging pockets. I still give it 3 stars because it does what it is supposed to - catch sweat. I'm keeping mine, but it certainly isn't exactly as advertised. Just a heads up that if you wanted those pockets, look elsewhere.

Works as expected.
This product performs as expected. You may live without one, perhaps using a towel instead. However, this is much better than using a towel, for three reasons:(i) it is flexible enough and can be separated in 2 pieces, allowing use in bikes with aerobars (something you only realize later) but without the pockets;(ii) it stays firmly in place;(iii) it covers a wider area.

Good Product
Good quality product that does what it is supposed to do by e.g. soaking up the sweat and protecting your bike. Suitable for anyone.

Does the job.
Bought this as a gift for a cycling fanatic, and he's using it! Must be good. four more words required?

Overpriced for what it is
As a newbie to the whole road bike scene and being your typical bloke, I had to get every conceivable gadget going for my new pride and joy. As I wanted to spend much of my time training on a turbo trainer indoors the sweat guard seemed like an advisable addition. Well believe me unless this drops to £2.99, save your money and use a towel instead.

A bit dangly
This does the job but with a little too much slack for my liking. It also gets in the way a little of a stem mounted bike computer.
