Gray Jinhao Vintage Luxury Dragon Fountain Pen Playing Pearl, Medium Nib Metal Carving Embossed Heavy Pen

Now this is a pen! It's a VERY solid weight (just fine for me - some folks prefer a lighter pen) generously wide grip (again, my preference) heavily carved with dragons, but carefully placed so that your grip will miss the heaviest features of the carving, or you can just move your grip closer to the nib and get down on the smooth under-the-cap part of the barrel. The workmanship is beautiful, and the ink flow starts pretty easily, for a fountain pen - it's better once it gets going and keeps going. The two-tone nib leaves a nice broad line, once it's "warmed up..."It's a better desk pen than a pocket pen; there's no clip, and the weight makes it fall easily and hit hard. Sadly, mine's taken a couple spills, and shown that the metal it's made from isn't the hardest alloy in the world, but it's still a favorite. It's better for writing long passages, than jotting short notes, as the screw cap takes a little more effort to work than would a push-cap you can just pop on and off for quick writing.

This is an impressively heavy pen and is very elaborate. Dragons bring good luck. I like the ink flow and it never has skipped yet, not bad for a lefty. Take this pen to a meeting and command respect, as it becomes a conversation piece. Some parts of the pen have hurt my hand during long periods of writing. So, I use it to show off when signing documents. This fountain pen is a keeper.

I bought this pen more as a keepsake than a writing pen. It has a very nice dragon detail that encircles it. If you are looking for an everyday pen and are okay with a heavy one then this is a pen for you. It is a very weighty pen. I was not expecting so much weight so I can't use it as a daily pen. I'm happy with my purchase and might write with it but not often.

This fountain pen is amazing, heavy but smooth so you practically glide on paper. It's a wet pen that does tire after some writing. But I couldn't stop using it without feeling like Harry Potter or writing spells. Lol. Its comfortable to write with the design doesnt get in the way nor doesn it hinder your penmanship.

Leakes all over your fingers when you write. I won’t recommend it to anyone.

I really love this pen and the way it writes. Smooth flow and no sharp edges. The body of the pen is a bit heavy but not a big deal for me and my large man hands but would love if it had a clip. The price for the dragon pen was amazing and I am glad I purchased it.

I like this pen, the nib needed some love when I got it. I typically write with the pen for a few lines and use a very, very fine honing stone to work out the kinks - the nib out of the box is a bit too scratchy for my taste. This is a heavy pen - very cool looking.
