This was a replacement. The tool works with practice. It's small but twist the eye, just take time to learn the tool.

Not good. The little stabs that hold the wire while you twist it wasn’t properly made. I think they’re too short not comfortable to work with. They should have made a bigger size than this. Also 41 mm wire also or 1.2 mm wire.

Cons- Yes it is TINY! Didn’t get the Allen wrench. Locking mechanism is hard to turn at first. Loosened with several uses. Hard to fit swivels or or clamps in the eye when making leaders(not impossible). Vert slippery.Pros-It does work! It will take a couple tries to figure out it out. Getting the wire position ,at the end of making the loop ,is critical!After using this device a couple times, I wrapped it with a piece of grip tape(Talon Grips) and it made this this completely functional. After loosing a king mackerel and the $20 lure, because of a faulty leader,I will no longer put my faith in the hands of “Made in China” leaders!

I guess you could say it works, the photo is my second and probably last attempt at it. Problem is, I bought it to finish up lures and secure hooks on, which cannot be done with this tool, as the shift has to be in the tool in order for it to work. I saw a bench top tool that looked pretty simple to use, I'm going to research it instead.

This tool seems like it could work, but they've made it too small.The posts you have to bend the wire around are just barely taller than 0.032" wire is thick. This means that when you try to bend the wire around it, it wants to slip off and can do so very easily.Likewise when you go to lock the wire into the tool, it barely twists enough to lock. As you try and twist the loop it'll likely open up the tool and your wire will pop out.Both of these design flaws would be easy for the manufacturer to fix. Just make the posts a little taller and notch the bottom so the wire stays in when you bend the loop. Also machine the hole for the stop post on the turn to allow the inner cylinder to turn 45-90 degrees instead of like 4 degrees.But as it is, the device is too annoying to bother to use. Would rather just use pliers.

Not worth the price. I am using the small gauge wire and it broken the pin immediately.
