A delightful read. Never mess with a mom and her child!
Erun is book four in The Ujal series. I really enjoyed this one. Kids add something special to a story when done right. As I’ve said before I like the unique aliens in this series. Each Ujal has it’s own unique coloring, traits, and characteristics.Erun’s history is harsh and dark. It’s made him who he is today; the hardened warrior. We also see that he has no reason to trust women, so his actions fit. At the start he comes off as an ass, but once you understand him more you see he has a heart and wants what all the others want, a mate and family. It was hard to learn about his past.Vanessa is looking to start a new life after her husbands death, but little does she know his death isn’t what it seems. Besides that she soon learns her daughter is Ujal and they don’t want her raising her daughter. What is a mother to do, but fight for her child, Ujal be damed.Theres surprises, action, tension, and love. I liked Vanessa and Erun together. They had a rocky start, but things turned out. I enjoyed how they interacted together and with Tabby along. What I especially loved was seeing Erun interact with Tabby. He was so sweet, patient, and loving.Erun was a delight to read. One of my favorites in the series.Rated: 4 Stars

Never Mess With A Mother And Her Child
When Vanessa and Erun meet for the first time it's not love at first sight. He considers her an unknown fit mother and she thinks he's a blowhard jackass. The only one that seems to break the ice between them is Tabby, Vanessas' little daughter. As Erun spends more time with them he discovers that Vanessa is a devoted mother and Tabby is a little whirlwind. Then the worse happens. Tabby becomes seriously ill and it reveals her true heritage. Tabby is an ujal baby. Will this revelation bring Vanessa and Erun together or tear them apart? The only way to find out is to read the book.

Moving From Arizona to Flordia . . . .
Awhile back I read Cara's story. . . . I had to look that review up because it's been awhile. .. . I remember the story and decided to see if any more in the series are out. Yup, a lot more. Complete stories. So I got busy and hooked and then ended with this one, Erun.I'm amazed at how diverse each Ujal's background is for these stories. Erun was sold as a child into the fight rings. Yet his honor and sense of self is strong, he is an amazing male that he overcame the abuse and torture done to him and is still a strong male with dignity. He steps up for those that are weaker, especially children.Yes Vanessa and Erun are older. Like any mid aged person they step back and think of all the consequences before acting. Their coming together is mainly because of Tabby, Nessa's daughter, but also because both see something in each other. Wanting a family. Wanting love and acceptance. The adoption angle was well done. Once more I was excited to see where this series goes and how past actions are impacting those in Tave's little world. My other thought is why all the couples are having daughters. The children are mentioned but not whether they've changed or can change or have scales or even tails. I'm curious to see how the hybrid stuff turns out, not just on the transitioning adults but on their children.SPOILERISHIt makes me wonder if Erun's genetic markers were taken when he was young and samples are out there. It makes sense since he was the top fighter. Or if Tave has more family out there and a possible usurper. The possibilities are endless.Like another reviewer said, so far this is the best in this series. Excellent characters, storyline, plot, romance, this one has it all. - Dan's Wife

Erun
Durning a walk Erun was passed a woman and her child - when suddenly the child the broke free and dashed toward traffic wanting to play tag but didn't understand that she was in danger of being run over by a passing hovercraft. After saving the giggling child Erun refused to give the child to sobbing parent. Vanessa followed in Erun's path as fast as she could but she wasn't as fast the the guy who caught her daughter - she didn't think she could suffer another lost. Could they get over there misunderstanding to become friends?

Is she ready to move forward
Who doesn’t love a big snarly alpha male? Erun is a male who has been through the worst life can hand him, and yet he has managed to keep a firm grip on his peaceful loving heart. His very protective heart, especially when he finds the family that is meant to be his. He may have had a struggle on his way to his HEA, but with the support of his friends he is able to overcome the past and embrace his future. I truly hope the author continues with this series. I need to know if Niax and Sece, and so many other Ujal, finally reach their HEAs.

The Ujal
I love this series and hope you include a few more books in the series. I would especially like a story on Shon. Why he is no longer mated and how he lost his youngling. I have read all 5 of the series so far, and each one was better than the last one. This book is really touching with all the ups and downs that Vanessa and Erun had that complicated their getting together. I also love how you keep all the previous books characters integrated in your story line. You keep the story flowing throughout each couples meeting and discovering that they are their one true mate will keep you glued to the pages. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

Alien romance
When in first saw the title of the book I was wondering if I would like it or if I would confuse it for a science fiction novel. Celia totally proved to me not to make assumptions based on a word or title.Erin is from another planet but actually he is just like a merman or a shifter. He spouts scales and uses a trident in the ocean to hunt but he also can shed his scales for human skin.Tabitha lost her husband to death and is afraid she will loose their adopted daughter. Doing the best she can she takes each day as it comes and tries to survive. The characters and their story got me hooked and now I have gotten the previous books to read the stories of their friends. This is an awesome under and above water story.

Loved it
I was a little concerned by this at first. Romance that throws in small children can sometimes be incredibly annoying. I forgot whose books we were dealing with. I shouldn't have worried. Reading about the big tough Ujal warriors attempting to deal with a small child was hilarious. As with all these books, there was plenty of humour mixed in with the passion.I loved this book and I'd really, really like some

Loving this series!
Absolutely fabulous! I am loving this series. I had a preconceived idea of how this book would go. Brooding male, single mum with a cute toddler, get along and live happily ever after. However this book had up and downs, brooding male horrible to single mum, the ujal turning on her for 'abducting' one of their own. But we got our happily ever after in the end. Well written, good plot, great characters and plenty of openings for future books. Excellent!

Erun & Nessa
4.5* After reading all the previous Ujal books I very much looked forward to Erun and was not disappointed. There is admittedly a couple of things that does not make sense e.g the adoption of just bringing a surprise baby home without Vanessa questioning it, but non the less I still very much enjoyed it. It's packed full of action and the Ujal males are hot!
