Beautiful story of unconditional forgiveness and friendship
Lovely story about how Jesus offers Peter unconditional forgiveness and friendship. A little bit old for my three year old but will be great for him to grow into and such an important message for him to hear over and over again

My kids loved it, a great way to explain about forgiveness
We love this series of books, but I think that this is my favourite! It's clear and humorous, but powerful, and pitched just right for children to understand. We often tell our kids to 'say sorry' and demonstrate forgiveness to their peers, but sometimes make assumptions that they know what we mean and where the principle stems from. So this book is fantastic as it uses the relationship between Jesus and Peter to show why we ALL need forgiveness and the source of that amazing grace. I have no doubt I'll be buying other copies as presents throughout the year for others to enjoy reading with their children too.

I love this!
This book is great! Great bible lesson. Well told. Fun to read. Appropriate for kids of all ages. Fun pictures. Overall a win. I will probably gift this book in the future. My son is 3... a bit too young, but there's noting wrong in starting them young!

Meaningful for kids and parents
We all loved this book! The illustrations are fabulous, as per usual with this illustrator. And the author pulls together a wonderful summary of the story of Peter and how much Jesus loved him.

Fun retelling for children
My daughter really enjoys this book! Every book we’ve read from this series is great! The pictures are colorful and fun. This book tells some of Peter’s story; how he loved Jesus and wanted to stick up for Him, no matter what, but ended up failing in the end. (Denied that he knew Jesus 3 times while Jesus was being questioned) It shows the amazing forgiveness of Jesus and how He gives us second chances. Something that I really appreciate about this book is that it highlights in the end how Jesus asked Peter 3 times if he loved Him, which was equivalent to the amount of times Peter had denied the Savior not so long before; it was a neat connection to make.

Wonderful book
The Tales that Tell the Truth books are my absolute favorites to read to my daughter. My daughter is three and she LOVES these books—she requests at least one of them daily. The artwork in these books are beautifully done and each story is made simple enough for small children to gain understanding of deep ideas. We loved this book specifically because of the different approach it took to telling the majority of Peter’s story. So many children’s Bibles/books leave out Peter’s denial and Christ’s forgiveness and that is always so shocking to me because it’s one of my most favorite stories In the Bible! The writing is so well done, emphasizing everything that should be and written in a well-flowing memorable way. Love the repetition that is included on the important parts. It sticks in my daughters head and she can recite parts of the book by memory! These will be books we keep forever.
