I did hesitate at first reading reviews but I got a complete opposite view as I read the book. . This book came at just the right time for me. So inspiring. It felt like I just had a friend over for the afternoon. Her writing is easy to read, she is kind , wise and inspirational in all her words. She doesn’t fill her pages with fluff like a lot of authors. Totally enjoyed each chapter. Ending book with new vision ,inspiration and direction again. It was a quick read for me but I enjoyed every minute of it.Wonderful to read how she stepped out to find her dreams and accomplished what she set out to do. Great read!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review: I really enjoyed the overall concept of this book. It was easy to follow along and give pieces of inspiration here and there. The main concept is to stop living by everyone else's rules and write your own permission slip to be yourself and be the best version of you that you can be! Help lift others up vs destroying each other. A decent read overall and would suggest to anyone who needs a quick pick me up!

Absolutely loved this book. Really makes you think about yourself and things you could never answer about yourself.

Holy Crap. This book! ⠀⠀Cover to cover in one day, and then I spent this morning listening to the rain going back to answer all the questions. 🌧⠀⠀To briefly explain why I’m so obsessed with Cara, she’s a self published author dedicated towards inspiring women. She published Girl Code, which was then picked up and republished by Penguin Random House, and got a book deal for her book, Like She Owns The Place. ⠀⠀What I love so much about her, is that after getting the author’s DREAM, she went back and self-published Girl On Fire, and in this book explains why you don’t need other people to choose you to be validated in your work. ⠀⠀I’ve struggled with this for Future Boss Lady, and I personally self published because I just couldn’t stand to sit around and wait for someone to believe in me. I believed in FBL so much that I knew it needed to be out there, book deal or not. ⠀⠀Reading Girl on Fire made me feel so secure in that decision and made me feel inspired to do it over and over again. ⠀⠀I HIGHLY recommend this book for writers and self published authors, but I also recommend it for anyone that needs to feel uplifted and inspired. ⠀⠀Cara says so many profound and beautiful things that just fueled my soul, and I closed this book feeling energized, excited, and ready to take on the world. ⠀⠀This book could not have come to me at a more perfect time, and I hope anyone and everyone gets a chance to read it. ⠀⠀Follow Cara at @thechampagnediet , she also has a podcast called Style Your Mind, and you can grab her book on Amazon! ⠀⠀I can’t thank you enough Cara, you are a freaking rockstar! ⭐️

I ordered this book as PD for my coaching business. It was just what I needed. I love that there is space to write notes after each chapter and the author prompts you with questions based on what you just read and getting you to take action.A must read!!!

In few words: an autobiography. There are points of reflections, but the concepts are not digged in. On the contrary, these reflections are supported by the author’s episodes of life, very repetitive. I was expecting a theoretical book, some practical and personal exemples can be inspiring, then they become boring.

This is the first book I've read by Cars but I will definitely be reading more. Her words are incredibly inspiring & remind me that if I just trust myself and go for it there's a big chance it will all work out!

I absolutely adore Cara: her style, books, amazing podcast. Reading this gem, I've got the feeling that I was enjoying one big and marvelous episode of her podcast or just sharing a glass of champagne while a dear friend/mentor was sharing her experiences and knowledge. I strongly recommend this book if you need that push to take action. Cara is a modern female and fearless Prometheus handing out fire to all of us. Do yourself a favor and devour this book!
