VAISIS SHW-12-BK Spiral Harness Wrap, 0.472" Outside Diameter, 33', Black

I bought Vaisis spiral wrap in three sizes to control the "Rat Nest" syndrome in the cases of my computer builds and other projects. This product will give your DIY projects a cleaner more professional look. YES, it consumes a fair amount of time to wrap all the cable bundles on a larger project like a computer; but you will really appreciate the clean look you gain for all your effort.The springiness and stiffness of this product ensure that wires stay in place. These same qualities, however, can make the product unwieldy to use, especially in tight corners. One nice thing about spiral wrap is that you can easily drop individual wires or groups of wires out of the bundle anywhere along the run.The price was fair and I especially like not being forced to buy a 100 foot spool. The 33 foot coil for this product is enough for several years of projects.

I was trying to get something to hide my speaker cables in, and I didn't realize that my cables are a bit too big to be fed through this harness wrap. The product itself is nice, just not what I needed.

The Good: This wrap is great for organizing the cables and wires. I used it to wrap up my sub woofer power and input cables, but this does not have room to do much else. You must decide how many wires you want to wrap up and then choose what diameter you need. 33ft is plenty of wrap for the usual projects I could think of.The Bad: It is HARD to wrap those wires up. This product would be better if it came with one of the easy wrapping tools. Without that, it is a real pain.

Not the fault of the harness strap maker. It just didn't work for what I wanted it for (holding electronic chords together). It was too hard to wrap them.

My cables (ethernet and the like) were getting chewed up by my kittens. I bundled stuff up with this and they seem to be leaving it alone. The one downside is that it's a pain to wrap the cables - when you first start, the lose wrap is hard to control and wind around the cable, but I did a 15 foot section in under 30 minutes. Two months in and things are still intact.

Giving the outside diameter is less relevant than the inside diameter - which is what you need to know, to match the diameter of your cable bundle. I ended up with too small of a spiral wrap. It was also too expensive for what you get and no installation tool was included.

This product is a little softer than other brands, can be cut with scissors. This wrap is made for short runs or where there are a lot of wires branching off. It can be time consuming to wrap longer lengths.

Really simple wrap! And a whole bunch of it. I only needed 3 ft but this came with 33! Plenty of wrap, more than I'll ever need. I used it to wrap a standard thickness Coax cable with a flat Ethernet cable and the bundle tightly wrapped the whole thing up with no "stretching" of the wrap diameter. I was going to add a power cable into the wrap as well, which would have worked find, resulting in the intended stretching of the wrap diameter.
