Stories from Mexico / Historias de México, Premium Third Edition 3rd Edition

My adult ESL student, who does not like to read, is enjoying this book. He reads the Spanish story first, which then helps him read the English version. The Spanish side is easier then the English, because the book is designed for English students learning Spanish. But it’s working the other way around, too.

I love the format of the book where I don’t need to look up the meaning of the words. I feel like I’m in high school reading Shakespeare with the new English & the old English but this time it’s a Spanish page & an English page. The stories are very interesting & give a glimpse into a beautiful rich culture.

Sort of basic and lame stories but quite easy to follow for learning. There's a decent variety of vocabulary to learn as well. It's a great first reader, just don't expect to be super excited by the stories themselves. I also wish the Kindle version made it easier to switch between English and Spanish pages

I liked the format of the book and enjoyed learning some of the history of Mexico.

What can I say? I am having great fun reading these stories, while I am actually improving my Spanish. The dual/side by side text is truly very helpful. I wish they would make more of these types of dual language books.

I would like more history and less mythology, but the stories are perfect for my intermediate Spanish level. The downloads are clear and spoken at a reasonable speed.

Considering I bought this used, it arrived in excellent condition! Almost mint! And I get to save half the cost on top of that! Very happy.
