fresh and authentic
This review is for the Jiangxi Mountain Wild variety. This tea has vibrant green leaves -- so pretty! After I brewed this, I removed it from my tea infuser and inspected the composition. (I find it easier to do this after the tea has been brewed.) There are some stems in here, but mostly this is made up of leaves. It stays nicely green even after extended brewing. This did not get bitter for me after oversteeping (got busy with something at work and forgot about it for a long while). I will say that I used lower-temperature water to brew this, though -- being at work, I didn't have access to boiling water, only to a hot water machine. This tea seems particularly suited to that method of brewing, though. This has a grassy green tea flavor -- much more authentic than most of the boxed/individually bagged teas I've tried lately. While you could probably make this iced, I prefer to drink it hot (and plain -- no milk or sweetener -- that way I can savor the complexity of the tea, itself). I really feel like that, between the color and the flavor, this was a fresh product. Love it!Product provided by the seller for evaluation purposes.

Pretty leaves unfold while brewing
I am not a tea expert, so I could not tell a big difference in taste from this tea from other good brands. However, what impressed me is that, while you cannot see until the leaves hit the hot water, they are beautiful, full leaves! I have a lovely clear Hario teapot, and it is a treat to watch the whole leaves unfurl as they absorb water. They are small and look carefully picked, and are vacuum-sealed.This is not certified organic, and I have become cautious purchasing products from China. However, this seems to be a reputable company who claims the tea is grown without chemicals on pristine land. The box is lovely and would make a very nice gift because of its quality packaging.

Light Taste
I really wanted to like this tea. It's from a small company, which I appreciate, and it is described as a rather exclusive, high-quality tea. which I believe. But it was just too light for me. Maybe I am not used to this variety, I don't usually spend $10 for 100 grams of tea, so it was a splurge. I also cannot reuse the tea leaves for another satisfying cup, which makes it less of a value. Also as an eco-conscious customer, I also didn't like the packaging it came in. It seemed too wasteful -- beautiful, but wasteful, and it is important to me not to buy things which are wastefully packaged.

Yummy and Calming Loose Leaf Tea
I got this for my husband who loves green tea. He's Chinese, and having grown up in a traditional Chinese family environment, tea was a staple. He's very selective of the flavor in his green tea, so I wasn't sure how he's feel if I got him this as a gift.PROS:- It tastes amazing! Soothing, calming, and delicious loose leaf tea. (Be sure to have an infuser to go with this, or you can use it with a coffee filter in a coffee maker) . The flavor and aroma is robust.- The decorative box makes it look high end and is perfect if you're giving this as a gift.- The leaves are large enough not to sift through infusers. This means, no little bits floating all in your drink.Overall, this is a nice premium tea that's harvested very well.

Warm/Cool Brew tasted better
After my first taste (~175-185 degree water for about 3 minutes) was bitter, I tried using cold water (about room temp after cooling the pot/leaves back down and it tasted much better. Maybe my water heater was running hot, but I think I will probably try to cold brew it again.

Horrible Acrid Green Tea
This was the most horrible tasting tea. It was not only bitter but had the worst acr taste ever. I've never ever tasted a bad green tea before this. Based on the other positive reviews I am dumbfounded on why the tea taste so bad. I have to think that maybe I received a different tea package or batch than the others. I took some picks of the tea package inside the box, but can't figure out how to post here.
