What caught my eye was the design, it looks nice and clean and elegant. It's a French press, and like all French presses, they're pretty simple and similar in execution. Fill 'er up with ground coffee then water, wait a few minutes, press down, pour and serve.But while it looks lovely, performance is a little lacking.For the price, the metal filter could be a lot better. I've a cheaper French press with 2 layers of meshes to better filter out the fine grinds. This press only has a single perforated mesh that will DEFINITELY let fines through. If you don't have a decent grinder and/or grind too finely, you're gonna have a bad time. (You COULD try the James Hoffman method if you're gonna try a fine-medium grind.)Also the lid is pretty loose. I almost spilled my coffee while pouring it because the lid doesn't stay secure on top. Of course, the simple and common way to fix that is to hold it lightly in place while pouring. Which, really, you should do with all French presses for a more steady pour but I wasn't thinking at the time lol.

Revised. Originally I said it was Such a simple pretty, light design. Form and function. No big handle taking up precious cabinet real estate. Good for two smallish cups. It can get a little muddy at the bottom, but that’s the good stuff, the rocket fuel, so I don’t mind. The filter is easy to clean. The only downside is that while the caraf is snug in the housing, you have to apply significant force to separate them, making it prone to shatter when the required jerk back causes the glass to pop back once the O-ring is uncorked. And liquid does get trapped between the plastic & glass, so unless you don’t mind, they do need to be separated for cleaning. Maybe that will improve over time. But otherwise I LOVE it. It gies me happy feelings when I see it. 😁The update, a year later: the plastic that backs the press screen broke, for no reason. No excessive force, no dishwasher heat...just weak plastic. The part you press has also cracked. So it has failed in 1 year and I have to replace it. We live in a cheap world designed to fail, and I, for one, am sick of it.

I bought this because of the elegant looks. After I received it, I really love it! It's light, perfect size, and it works just well! Personally, I really like the feeling of the matte surface, I feel pleasant just holding it.

I bought this French press because of this amazing design. When I got this, I am so satisfied with this product also because of the high quality. And it’s so easy to carry on. 100% worth to have one.

Decent coffee maker, tea maker, depend on what you use it for. Love it! Great gift choice!

Its a shame, it could be a good product but didn't last 6 uses. Its plastic and cracked after very little use.

This french press is fantastic. Great style and function. Was concerned that coffee would stain the white plastic but after a week of use there is no sign of any stain. The plastic housing around the metal filter element does catch fine oils so just rinsing with water doesn't fully clean it but that's just a fact of life. The pouring spout is a little small so amount of liquid to come out is small, but this force me to pour slowly which minimises coffee grounds getting back thru the seals around the plunger.Very satisfied with item and seller. Item was well packaged and in original packaging box. Delivered from WA in under a week to Sydney.
