DEXTER AXLE Dexter K7138400 Conversion Kit

Lifted my camper about 7 inches in total, making it work MUCH better with my f350. Prior to this pretty much all of the weight was on the back pair of tires. Not it rides nearly level. You MAY need an extra step when you are done though. Took a couple hours to put on (unfortunately it was about 112 that day we did this). Expect that you are going to need a torch to get the old hardware off, and WATCH YOUR BRAKE WIRES! Also, pay attention to the positioning of the axles. They need to go back on in exactly the same position as they came off (you basically drop the spring mounts, let the axle drop down, then put the springs back on top and fasten it down). It came with everything I needed except a couple small pieces of wire to extend the brake wires on one side. The following weekend, took the camper from Michigan to South Carolina through the mountains, and all worked great! Just take your time, and check online for videos if any questions!!! The axles curve up in the middle, and when you are done, you want to make sure they still curve up!

Bought these to lift my camper a couple inches. They installed fairly easy. Installed myself and it took most of a Saturday to do. It raised the camper about 4-5”, just what I needed so that the back wouldn’t drag on any slight hill or elevation.

This under/over axle kit was easy to install. All necessary parts were in the box. Instructions were very bad. You need to go on line and watch videos on installation.

Found product to be as advertized. Easy to install. Complete time from start to finish on single axle trailer less than 2 hours. I got a 5 inch lift, which will give me the clearence needed.

Put this on my Forrest River wildwood 177bh. Gives it a great stance and looks awesome. Bought it because I have a steep drive way and my sewage pipe would hit. Also like to do a little bit of off grid camping and going places off the beaten trail so needed some more clearance. This gave me plenty of ground clearance about 4.5". Pretty big lift. I have taken it on a couple trips already and it is very sturdy and no issues. Install really wasn't that bad. Things to watch out for are the length of your break lines. Also check out the height of your truck and trailer hitch to make sure they line up well. Very happy with this purchase. Wish I had done it immediately before I broke my dang sewage pipe

Would be better if seller disclosed that this is NOT for a Dexter 1 3/4" axle. (This was verified by talking with a Dexter representative & by obviously looking at the kit overall). The only new part I did use was the saddle (that sits on top of the axle). It is cut out for a larger axle but will work. As shown, I attached a lower plate to attach with bolts into the barrel nuts provided, purchased correctly sized new U/Bolts & nuts for this axle (vs. reusing the old ones or the ones in this kit - which are too large), & reused the original top plates. Some JB Weld to keep things in place & all done.
