I have received my rain gauge and mounted it on one of the deck posts. It is very easy to read and the raised plastic for each increment is very helpful. In the past week it has rained about 3 times with a quick garden variety shower that dumps heavy downpours for about 5-10 minutes. Other rain gauges I have had (glass type) were almost impossible to read any amount. This one was able to show me in millimeters the amount of rain for each shower. I like that feature. I also believe it will handle rain during colder weather without breaking like glass does. The gauge was easy to mount, just screw in the support plate and slide the gauge onto it. The sturdy plastic, the raised measurement indicators, and the easy to read increments make this one a winner. If you are looking for a medium size gauge that you want to mount on an established post, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

A bit pricey but works well. Easy to empty and really easy to read, even for small 1 or 2 mm rain falls. Seems to agree with my electronic rain gauge next to it, which is why I bought this, to see if the electronic gauge is accurate. Since they both agree, I'll assume they're both right rather than both being equally wrong. Time will tell if it holds up to the heat and UV of the Texas sun.

Good quailty, easy to install, accurate measurement. The gauge is difficult to read from a distance as the increments are also made of clear plastic. This can be compensated for by using a tool to scratch / etch the outside surface of the gauge and then using a permanent marker to highlight the inch markings. The major readings then stand out nicely.

Top-notch rain gauge, extremely accurate and long lasting. I purchased my first Outdoor Home Dual Scale Rain Gauge in 2018. The original gauge lasted for 6+ years until the mounting plate finally gave way to the outdoor extremes and fell apart. I am preparing to buy my 2nd Outdoor Home Dual Scale Rain Gauge. It's more expensive now, but certainly worth the additional money to get an accurate rain gauge.

This gauge is a little bit bigger than I expected but I ended up keeping it and am really happy with it. It's sturdy and seems strong. I compared it to other, more expensive "professional" rain gauges that I have and it's very accurate. Easy to install too.

Heavy duty and great water level readings... Only problem: it is clear all around. Hard to get good read...... I sunk a pole and attached an old piece of 1x4 about 2' long and painted it hunter green.... Installed gauge level with top and it works great.... Now it rates a 5 for easy to read...

He wanted on for a long time. He was thrilled to get it. It was easy to install on our chain link fence.....now if the drought would end so we can use it.

It's made in Australia so measure is in metric on one side and inches on the other. The inches measurement is not minute enough for proper measurement. Otherwise it is a good product.
