Saying goodbye to my leather belt.
Let me just say this is my first tactical belt so my review is a bit skewed as I'm comparing this belt to what I've been wearing.I CCW wherever I go except work. My EDC includes a subcompact with a CrossBreed IWB MiniTuck holster, Safariland mag carrier (which I also highly recommend from Amazon), and an Ariat leather belt from the local feed store. I have been using this setup for little over a year. The leather belt was decent, however I always noticed more play than I cared for during practice draws. I would have to really tighten the belt down to make it feel secure.I decided to go with Uncle Mike's Tac Instructor's Belt because of prior reviews, pricing, it doesn't scream "tactical", the belt size needed for blue jeans/shorts/khakis, and of course Prime shipping. This belt does not disappoint. The quality is great. There's no fraying, the buckle is strong and the material is stiff. After wearing it I noticed a big difference especially relating to the following.Secure: Holster stays in place much better with this belt. The holster clips fit perfectly and it feels more secure. In fact I'm now considering wearing my tuckable IWB double mag carrier since this belt will easily handle the load. I'm sure some of you can relate to this embarrassing scene when the weapon goes flying off your pants while unbuckling your belt and dropping your drawers. I've tried out with this belt and I'm confident I don't have to worry about it happening again. This is especially important for me because of #3.Comfort: I have two young children and very active at the park, hiking, museum, etc. I'm a single dad always having to pick my youngest up, carrying my pack, carry my kids crap, etc. I've noticed this belt is much more comfortable for daily wear. I'm not having to adjust my holster constantly or over tighten it like my prior belt.Yeah, I know "duh, stupid... that's why you wear tactical belt" however for me the difference is a real eye opener. I'm very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this belt. BTW I ordered the Large as my pant size is 38 which is my adjusted pant conceal-carry size. The Large is a perfect fit for me and still enough room to "grow" during the holiday feasting (pray not).

Great, supportive gun belt - large size works well for me and my 38 inch waist
Update - July 27th, 2015: After a three week road trip, where in wore this belt each day to support either my Glock 26 (~26oz) or my Glock 29 (~38oz), I am happy to say I couldn't be more pleased. I have worn this on multiple hikes in the back country and many hours in the car. It is holding up great, provides awesome support and I highly recommend it.So far this a great belt, I am very pleased. I have not had the belt long, so I can't speak for durability, but it looks very well made, is sturdy, supports my gun and is very stiff. I have worn it two day straight and my gun/holster does not move. The biggest concern I see stated is sizing the belt correctly. I bought a size large and it fits perfectly. My waist is about 38/39 and I wear size 40 pants/shorts to accommodate the IWB carry. The belt in a size large is perfect for me.

Good for holster and holding up your pants. Probably not good for hunting.
I needed a dedicated belt to wear while hunting that would securely hold my .357 carried OWB in an Uncle Mikes belt loop holster and a hunting knife. Belt will hold up for that purpose just fine. Nice and sturdy, not too thick, and at 1.5" is just the right size to fit all belt loops on the pants I wear for hunting as well as the belt loop on the holster and the knife sheath.Fit is good with the holster and knife sheath attached. A little long without.I'm 6'1", 200 lbs, with a 34" waist. I ordered the large based on other reviews, but find that it's a little long without the holster and knife sheath attached. When cinching up without accessories, the velcro backing gets pulled into the buckle, making it a little hard to cinch up nice and firm. No problem with accessories. I don't think that the medium would work for me with my holster and sheath so this won't be that big of a deal. I don't think the medium would work for my 34" waist based on other reviews so I'm glad I went with the large. My biggest problem is that this belt is loud when undoing. I should have thought about that before buying a velcro and heavy metal buckled belt used for hunting. This is only an issue for my particular application. When nature calls, it's very difficult to be quiet when undoing the velcro and once the tail is free of the buckle, the buckle makes a lot of noise when moving around. Velcro being pulled apart and metal clanging on metal isn't a sound you want to make while elk or bear hunting. Now granted this isn't going to happen very often, but if you're trying to be as quiet as possible while doing anything in the woods while hunting, this belt is not a good choice. But if you just want a good sturdy belt too hang a holster from and hold up your pants, then this belt is a great choice.

I bought this belt in 2011 and have worn it every day since
As I said, I've had this belt for 3 years. I don't own any other belts and have worn it every single day since. This is far and away the best belt I have owned, and it is still going strong to this day. The Velcro still works, and it is still stiff as ever. I use this to carry my Smith and Wesson M&P 45C with a full mag and I barely notice it's weight with this belt. The best thing about this is its adjustability. Want it a little stiffer today? Sure. Just finished a big meal and it's too tight now? Loosen it a little. You can get a perfect fit every time with this no matter what you have loaded on it. The other thing I like is when I go to the bathroom for my daily "thinking" time, this belt keeps my firearm safely at my calves and not flopping over making me worried it will slide out onto the floor. This is seriously the best belt money can buy, and I look forward to seeing how long it will last me.
