Treasury of Smocking Designs (Dover Crafts: Embroidery & Needlepoint)

This delightful book is really a treasury of smocking patterns. I believe it is aimed at persons who already have a certain amount of skill and experience. The instructions are clear and well explained, but beyond the skills of a pretentious beginner such as myself. With time and practice, however, I will be able to tackle some of the patterns I just love in this book. I wish I had started smocking earlier but, like most skills, practice is necessary and I'm not there yet. When I am, this book will become my new best friend.

Beautiful designs but not for beginners. I love this book and will treasure it as I progress through the learning process of smocking. I needed a simpler book , but am really proud that I bought this one.

I got the KindleEdition. Down load was fast. The content in this book is very useful. Even though I'm a little disappointed as some black & white pictures inside the book have a note "color picture shown at the cover" and there's not such thing!

I can not wait to start using the book. I am going to try my hand on good quality kids clothing.

The only thing I didn't like about this pattern was that it was American, but I managed to use it OK. I used it to make a dress for my great grand daughter and it turned out very well. I have 5 great grand daughters so I will use it again.

以前から購入を悩んでいて、お安く出品されていた為購入しました。懐かしい感じのスモック図案が、モノクロで載っています。カラー部分は表紙、裏表紙、それぞれの表紙裏表紙の裏側のみです。中身は全部モノクロで、ワンピースの全体写真もモノクロです。カラーで無い部分は残念なのですが、ステッチに関してはわかりやすくまた、図案はかなりわかりやすいと思います。いろいろな図案を見てみたい人には、おすすめです。
