Bodhi-Tree/wisdom-tree is world tree & its roots drink deep waters of infinity. Branches & leaves blow in winds of Void, lit by clear light. Tree of refuge, place of safety from raging tigers & dragons of desire. Each leaf bright green of spring & bark darkness & fragrance of forest. Fruits of knowledge are not forbidden to mankind by a jealous god/they are intended for all beings. Lower limbs give knowledge/good & evil & awareness of many lives, upper limbs give unity & immortality. mankind was expelled from the garden before eating fruit of immortality or gaining knowledge of unity. Bodhi-Tree, unites all worlds & has no guardians to protect it. All sentient beings are welcome to gain as much wisdom as their minds can hold. It is a long journey to that state, travelers must unravel current life & past lives. Strands woven again, create a mind capable & worthy of returning to the source. The image of Bodhi-Tree has 2 components - tree & its reflection. Tree represents life outwardly full of desire, sorrow & ignorance. Its reflected image life's perfection. Life reflected by pure, clean, awareness. Life is changing reflections/ no permanent anchor in physical form. Tree reflected in water is self reflected in awareness. Without meditation, physical forms appear solid & enduring. Changing & fluctuating nature is not visible. The only direction of change is from one physical form to another. As the physical tree becomes the reflected tree, it becomes shadows dancing on waves & its solidity disappears. So it is with the self & world. Each is recognized as parts of a larger whole & waves upon the ocean of change. Mind starts as closed & tight center of awareness, relaxes & opens, looks like a water-lily in a lake & begins to resemble lake itself. One becomes awareness immersed in awareness, like a water droplet in depths of a lake. No distance in thought, only immersion. All minds are united & all minds free. The droplet bursts to engulf lake, ocean & infinity.
