Tactical Earplugs Ear Protection Noise Reduction Pick Up Sound Use for 9mm Outdoor Shooting, Hunting (1 Pair)

When buying these or any similar product there is just one thing to consider: the NRR rating. The higher that number is the greater amount of noise reduction. Simple. This particular product, due to these filter inserts, has a variable NRR which is tricky to evaluate objectively in the field. Most importantly, keep in mind that they are designed to let in a lot of sound below a certain thresh-hold pressure level. Also that pressure level has to be a sudden rapid rise (as in a gunshot) in order for the filters to react. These will not protect your hearing very well if you work in a generally loud environment such as a machine shop or flight line. They will certainly not prevent the sound of snoring regardless of how loud it may be. When I ride my motorcycle to the gun range I just wear those foam ear plugs that are rated at NRR33. That's just the safest way to go. Throughout my 20's and early 30's as a professional musician, I used a similar type of "noise filter" ear plug whenever the band played. That type of earplug saved my hearing. This product is good. It is comfortable to wear. It works but the level to which it is effective is variable.

These are good at what they are intended to do. I learned that if you don't put them in so that the tab used to grasp it when taking them out isn't positioned correctly, you might struggle to get them out. A trick to get them in snugly is to grasp the ear and pull it back as you insert the plug.

I bought these to use shooting ARA benchrest 22. With my rifle. My range is shooting out of the range building..almost the now se levels of indoors.These worked well,are comfortable and I would recommend for use shooting 22. If you go larger I'd add more protection.These work as advertised ..I'd buy again

I am very happy with this purchase. I have worn them at the shooting range and found them to be very effective AND very comfortable. I am very impressed with the protection response and the filtering of safe sound levels. I was surprised at the effectiveness for a non-electronic ear protection. The company might want to correct the spelling error on the case. Otherwise, WOW!

I work on the floor in a casino and these cut about half the machine noise down. They still allow me to hear normal conversation vote in person and radio earpiece. Love this item and will order another back up set.

I put them in ,when I am at the restaurant, when a bunch of loud mouths are near me,can't here them anymore

Nothing mentioned about only good for use with (symbol less or equal ) to 9mm outdoors on storage box. Picture 1 was in item received. Picture 2 was in item description with no mention of above use with 9mm or less when purchased. Return requires me to travel over 1/2 hour each way to store of their choice instead of Amazon typical printed return call tag. Very disappointed I have to go way out of my way to return vs drop in mail with call tag.

Really deadens sound better than most I've tried. Easy to put in ears. Good product!
